Not sure on the value of Mehndi, but assuming it is around the value of a Prop, this is right around even. (What does "right around even" mean? I mean it's ballpark. Some people would for sure do this I think, while other people not. It's only a right set of eyes type of issue from the perspective that some people won't trade big bottles for quantity. )

My mindset is if both sides agreed on it and are satisfied then it's a great trade!

 

I think the Mehndi should/will trade for a bit more than the Prop, making this deal even a little sweeter.

That particular individual seems to lock their threads about half the time. Seems to me to be correlated to their offers being fair-ish vs. not at all fair.

They aren't the only ones to do it. There's several people like that.

 

Assuming you are talking about the beers and not the fact that it is "Not open for further replies."...I would say it is fair if someone agrees to the trade. Once the discussion of secondary begins, is anything truly "fair"?

 

Totally agree. Every time I see a locked thread, my immediate thought is that someone is posting a shit trade. And indeed it's almost always true when looking at the actual content of their proposed trade. For the sake of transparency and collective feedback, I'm not a fan of locked threads.

 

Take out the reserve 18 and I think it could close. Yeah fair is very subjective. Is it fair that I'm sending 4 big beers to someone for a KBBS? No, but I did agree to do it

 

First thing that came to my mind was KBBS when thinking of "fair"...And that is from a retail standpoint much less what it fetches in secondary.
