    If I'm going with a home-made gooey cheese-stuffed cajun burger with fries (can't wait!), I'm definitely going with another beer. To be responsible, though, I should go with something light.

    Distinctive light gold color with white cap and lacing.

    Mild scent of rich yet dryish malt with floral, spicy hops.

    Taste upfront is about equal hop sharpness with rich malt yet that same sense of dryness. Curious about that I looked up the website to find there is rye malt in the mix. Ah, that explains things, rich malt with a spicy rye kick. In this brew the combination works with the diverse grain flavors blending well together and just enough firm hop kick to keep things in balance. Simple flavors in harmony, clean all the way to the finish with a bit of hop firmness at the end that concludes things nicely.

    Good early afternoon BAs! Today's New Breakfast Beer:



    The pic is actually the first one of the morning, before the thread started. But since I'm drinking the fourth can from the sixer from the same glass, I think the earlier pic is OK. When I first (and last) had this beer back on 15 Aug 2010, it was a barley wine in a bomber. Through the magic of marketing it's morphed into an Red IIPA. Seems more like an over-hopped barley wine to me, but that's just my opinion.
