We use brown lunch bags in my wine group and it works great.

 

After doing several blind shares, you run into the challenge of all bottles not being the same size, some having wax tops, etc. We've found its better to designate someone as blind pourer, and decant the beer outside of the view of everyone else. But that's if you're truly trying to make it blind to all, otherwise the bottle in a bag thing works

 

I’ll take all the bottles to the back and get it sorted out. Give me 30 minutes and then call an ambulance.

 

@KrajDoesBeer, next share on 12/12 or 12/18? isn't there an event on the 12th?

as for the blind share, i've found that wine carriers/totes are good vessels that can hold either a 22/25 oz format easily.

Haven't been following this thread for awhile, but the Mrs and I are going to the Nutcracker at the House Theatre Saturday night. Definitely hitting up FR before hand.

I see Big DAM Scoop and Snoochies are still on your beermenus page. What are the odds they make it to Saturday?

I like the Christmas theme. Just throwing it out there -- it may be nice gesture for those in attendance to also make a donation for a good, Christmas-related cause (e.g., Toys for Tots, Letters for Santa, etc.).

I also think that @HouseofWortship should give a nice Christmas present by gracing everyone with his presence.

 

I will come if I have some stuff to bring, and this time I think I'll have some stuff to bring, it's also probably my last chance to say hello to most of you before I leave Chicago forever.

 

That's why you should come even if you don't have anything to bring!

 

I thought of him as well, but then wondered what crazy things he might do in that suit that might make Bad Santa look like an actual kids movie.
