Firestone Walker Pivo Plisner. Have been drinking this on and off lately and its without a doubt, one of the finest pilsners I've ever had, if not top of my list on the style.

A little bourbon always goes well with a quality pilsner and just picked up a bottle of Evan Williams, which is cheap on the recommendation of my neighbor. I must say at only $18 for a full liter, this stuff is damn good. Picked up a bottle of their honey reserve bourbon as well. Tasting that one later. I'll likely be buying less Makers Mark and Knob Creek going forward.

A rum barrel coconut stout. For a 16% ABV beer it is hidden well.

Stone has a brewery in Europe? Wow can it be considered craft when it's international?

Happy Tuesday ba. Getting into it with a local. This is You So Hazy, hazy ipa, from Barrage brewing here on the island. Features alpha aroma, comet, galazy, and Tahoma hops. Lots of nice citrus and tangy hops, while not being overly sweet, and a touch more bitter than seems to be the norm of the style. The hops are from a local farm too.

I got a small UHaul trailer Saturday morning and moved the last of the furniture, mattress and cast iron bed, into Jr. Zombies’ new pad. He finished his exams this afternoon and he is now foraging/raiding the kitchen, pantry, and fridge (he can take all 5 jars of half empty peanut butter!)...his mom is driving me nuts...a Melvin IPA on the quiet balcony:

This IPA is a little more malt forward than my Florida IPAs, but I like it and will buy again if this WY brew sees regular distro here - Cheers!

Starting off tonight with the first of a 4-pack from my recent trip to the Hudson Valley...Qualify Pils, from Suarez Family Brewery. Much like everything else I had the good fortune of sampling at the source, this is great stuff; overwhelmingly simple, but with layers of depth and character that never get around to interfering with the brew's overall drinkability. Even from the can and at over a month old, this one still exemplifies those characteristics excellently. Cheers, all!

I kinda think it's funny how you hold SN in such high regard meanwhile I'm like half a continent away and prefer fresher local stuff. How is the craft beer scene in france anway? I haven't had sierra Nevada in a very long time probably because there is alot of stuff in a very long time probably because there is alot of local options.

This Belgian Tripel re-fermented with brett is today's clear highlight, even though the flavor does not quite live up the quite funky nose. Still a great brew with a very a rather interesting balance.

Too much hub-bub and dust (did Jr. ever clean his room?...silly question...). I’m having another IPA while the dust, literally and figuratively, settles:

Can’t tell if it’s all the airborne pollutants, or a parent’s nostalgia that has Mrs. Z sniffing about...
