Did anyone see any Abraxas bottles in the Chicago area this time around? Or did they not distro it this year?
I was just talking with someone about this recently, and how I thought it was strange it hadn't hit here yet. I assumed that it was just getting here later this year.
I was in St. Louis this weekend and both places I chased BCBS had it available. Since I wasn't particularly successful in the BCBS hunt, I picked one up. They both said they had just gotten a second drop of it from Perennial. Not sure what that means for us Illinois folk. Would be nice if they showed us some love, it's a barren wasteland as far as stouts go here.
I talked to Binny's and a local liquor store. They both said they were told they are getting Abraxas, but that the distributor hadn't gotten it yet. They didn't know when it would happen.

I purchased a bottle of Abraxas at Binny's South Loop today. Limit 1 per person. Was out on the shelf. I noticed the month/year that it was bottled is no longer on the label. Previous years always listed the bottling month/year.
You can also get a ticket if you buy a Perennial draft. I’m drinking their Ghost Chords NEIPA now, and it’s really good. It’s like a grapefruit spritzer.
Also bottles of Darkness sitting on the shelf. Remember when Binnys locations used to tweet beer drops and Darkness sold out in 15 minutes at several of them? Or how people milled around Binnys for hours waiting for the truck to deliver Darkness? Crazy...
Wondering if it won't be a yearly thing anymore. Multiple batches per year. They're cranking out more volume than ever.
