Beautiful morning for a walk with the dogs, 53degrees and sunny...now for my coffee:

Some last minute errands to run, including a trip to the vet, otherwise I hope to finish my fridge cleaning project today.

    Have a great Friday y’all!

This week I've been "cleaning out" the fridge and drinking anything that I've had for multiple months, and this one happened to to be a remnant of my August trip to Southern Maine: Evolution Craft Brewing Co. (Salisbury, MD) Lot #3 IPA
    [IMG]
This one is in typical New England IPA fashion - Hazy and juicy hop dominated flavour profile. As overdone as some people think it may be, this is the kind of beer that I never really get tired of drinking. It's well balanced with great flavour - no face puckering hop bombs to be found here. Cheers BA's and Happy Friday!

Good morning BA! I have the day off, but I have a lot of cleaning and other chores to do around the house today. I figured I should start off with a nice breakfast.

Good morning, all! Timothy Taylor Landlord finally showed up here in the Cedar Valley. Now, this might not be earth-shaking news to most folks, but I'd been looking for it for quite a while. I used to have one and I'd been dying to try it, so I took it to a share a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, we never got around to it and I left it at a friend's house. He assured me later that it was delicious. After trying it for myself, I concur. Biscuit, caramel, and honey, with floral overtones, notes of fruity yeast and grassy hops, and a pleasantly bitter finish. I think it'd be a great table beer. Cheers!

Another oldie from 09/20/16 while I watch a documentary on the events of 77 years ago. Take a moment today to remember....

Got home from dropping the kids off at school and the extremely stressed out Mrs was laying on the couch, saying to me "I have a headache. Please wake me up in an hour."

So I did what any smart husband would do. Went downstairs to his bar, drank more beer, and watched whatever TV I wanted to in the time allowed (plus ten or fifteen minutes).

I could find it Colorado Springs a few years back but not now. I love this beer and definitely will get more once I find some.

    Enjoy!

Good morning, BAs - it's time to get the weekend started!

As I close in on 2000 beer reviews, it seems unlikely that I'll land anything special soon enough. Which is fine: I stocked up on some solid beers, and I think I've got a decent option on hand. The bigger question is: can I hold off until New Beer Sunday to celebrate the milestone appropriately?

A duo post as I needed a palate cleanser prior to sampling a new (for me) Belgian golden ale after getting some good news from work this morning...

    The palate cleanser:

    The Belgian:

A fine Belgian styled ale, bringing candied sugars and apricot flavors to the palate, rich and full on the palate with a pleasing hop bite to complement the residual sugars.

...and listening to my old (and warped - so appropriate) vinyl copy of an old Joe Walsh classic LP...

...and the good news was I didn't need to come into work today...love being semi-retired...life is good, seriously...

A recent introduction purposed to help victims of Hurricane Michael, our distributor says it will become a regular.

Bright, clear light gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of soft grain with floral hops.

Taste of clean, light grain, mostly malt with perhaps some other grain as well. I would say more bread than cereal like. Very low hop presence, less than in the scent actually. Perhaps a touch of sweetness in the surprisingly creamy body. Fairly simple in it's approach it's still quite tasty.

Texture is somewhat creamy with a medium full body.

My overall impression is that of a highly refined AAL which is perhaps what it is

FYI, your picture isn't showing up for me. That's one of the reasons I always mention what beer I'm drinking in the post (as you did). Drives me nuts, though, when people just drop a pic in the thread, assume it's good, and jet.
