Trader won't leave feedback

So I have a situation where someone I traded with once (almost 5 months ago now) is refusing to leave feedback. I've PMed him about 6-7 different times asking him leave feedback and actually replied to his latest trade post that he put up a day or two ago. He has not responded to any of my attempts to reach out to him whether it was privately or publicly.

As of this moment, he was looking at trade posts 45 seconds ago.

I honestly have no idea why he's doing this. When he got my package, his immediate reaction was to criticize my packaging for whatever reason. I had a BAA 18 very securely packed in a blow-up bottle sleeve along with a couple very nice extras (Trillium and Hudson Valley if I remember right). I've done over 200 trades between here, IG, Facebook, and other platforms and never had a single thing break.

All in all, it's really not a big deal...but I just want the trade out of my "open trades" section because it's annoying the hell out of me haha (a little OCD, maybe). Since I already left (positive) feedback for him, there doesn't seem to be anyway to revoke that feedback or a way to simply remove the trade altogether.

If there's a different forum that this should be posted in, let me know! I definitely don't think this warrants being posted in Bad Beer Traders because we actually completed the trade successfully (which makes his actions that much more bizarre).

Any input/tips/tricks on how to resolve this would be appreciated. Cheers!

 

Thanks for that! I'm still relatively new to the BA community outside of trading - what's the best way to go about reaching out to the mods and how do I find out who they are (I assume I wouldn't be reaching out to Todd...)?

I agree - extremely odd. He responded when he got my package and criticized my packaging (my packaging was totally fine) and didnt thank me for the really nice extras I sent him or the trade in general, either. After that I never heard from him again despite 6-7 PMs asking for feedback.

He actually just posted another trade offer (second one this week I believe) and I commented on it again. At this point it's obvious to me the guy is just a dick and is doing this on purpose for some very odd reason.

 

I did reach out to John and he told me that mods get alerted after 6 months and that one of them will prod him to leave feedback at that time, I believe (or the open trade will just disappear). So only ~1 month to go before I get this trade out of my "open trades" list! haha

 

Not yet! Looks like the 16th is the 6-month mark for our trade. As I understand it, mods will be alerted at that point and they will prod the user to leave feedback. Fingers crossed..

 

An update: guy posted another trade offer today. I commented something like "just know he won't leave feedback on your trade if you complete it". Guy responds to another comment from someone else and completely ignores mine. Sometimes I hate the beer community. This guy is a passive aggressive douchebag.

Did you get your beer? Yes. And you simply ignored my 6-7 messages. I think this is more a case of you thinking you're better than other people. After you got my package, your message was only about the packaging. No thank you for the extras or the beer. You don't agree with my packaging? Fine. I wouldn't hesitate to send it again. We've all gotten packages where we think the packaging is sketchy. "Worst I've ever seen" is truly hilarious though. I buy those sleeves on Amazon specifically for big bottles and they've never let me down.

Is ignoring people who politely ask you something how you deal with things? Just leave the fucking feedback so I never have to deal with you again. It's honestly that simple.

All I wanted was the feedback and he never would have heard from me again. I don't think any of us have the right to act as "gatekeepers" for the beer community or the trading system.

 

This dude just left me neutral feedback complaining about packaging, etc. This is unbelievable. Bad beer trader forum here we come...

We completed a trade successfully and no issues with any of the beer getting there. What am I missing here? You can check his feedback...I left him positive feedback and was complimentary despite our differences.

All I wanted was the feedback. This is insane to me.

This is high school-level pettiness.
