My favorite is Imperial Porter err stout. Or triple IPA. What does the third I stand for. Why not extra special strong imperial ipa or ESSDIPA or if it’s hazy ESSDNEIPA. Both just roll off the tounge.

At the end of the day, they are all just Pale Ales.

So, if the brewer makes a beer that isn't to style but labels\markets it as such we should make a new sub-category? The lines have been so blurred, I gave up caring once porter and stout became interchangeable.

I try them all, pick thru the ones I like, and separate out the ones I don’t like. Applies to all styles of ipas and such, like anything else some are good, some bad, some dull average. Nothing magical about any one style imo, a great beer is just that.

Now that every brewery in California is pumping out the hazy "New England IPA" style brews, let's just rename the category "Murk" and if it's 5% or 10%, no worries, Mate.

This is pretty much how I feel too. If it's 5% fruity murk or 10% fruity murk, I'll drink it all interchangeably. I'm always super happy to get good, fruity murk that's lower in abv, but I'm open to drinking the boozier fruity murk. An Other Half beer at 8.5% or an OH beer at 7% is mostly interchangeable except they nail the 8.5% more frequently than the 7% and thus, more are in my fridge.
