Next up is something dark.

Founders Brewings Porter at 6.5% ABV. A bit too roasty and coffee for my taste but definitely not undrinkable. I just don't like coffee that much.

 

Breckenridge - Holidale.. it's an ale aged in whiskey barrels.. cheers!

 

Some much needed beer since being snowed in for two days. So it's not my usual place just the closest, so I picked up a six of Celebration for $10. The Two Hearted was 3 months old, Budweiser was $8. So a Celebration it is.

 

Lunch brew with an appearance of Snickers the cat.

 

We get their sours here, but nada on the hoppy stuff, I find that more than strange. I'd surely welcome more of their stuff.

Aaaaand back to IPA's.

Bryg nr. 62 from Åben, a 7.5% ABV imperial IPA. This brewery popped up about a year ago and have made some truly fantastic IPA's! This is not their best but still very good. Apparently it's a Christmas IPA and I got some sweet caramel and some spice. It's not your traditional IPA but it works.

I know all their ipas are staying in the new york and that sucks... The quality has gotten much better since they opened and they can't even keep up with the demand here

 

This is the best ipa I've had all year cheers

A cellar dweller from my days as a tourist here. Avery Brewing No. 39 in the Barrel Aged Series dated Aug. 30 2016. L'Eighyore sour ale aged in rum barrels and dry hopped. It tastes like tart plums with a hint of rum in the finish. We have a winner!
