    Lucked into finding a pub with Cloudwater on tap this afternoon - Extra Special Bitter:



    I like this as it has a little citrus cutting the earthy bitterness. And the bar runs the pull through a sparkler to give it a frothy head. Cheers from Edinburgh!

    Breakfast of Swedish sausage and ham-and-15 bean soup with some "meaty" ale to wash things down with...



    ...and a "blind" vinyl purchase yesterday...never heard of this guy but, hey, a shirtless fat man playing electric blues slide guitar...how can this be bad???

    The sun sets at 3:35 here, so I finished my pint at the pub in Stockbridge, and walked home. Now ticking (I know I’ve had this style before) a Brut IPA - “Effervescence” by Tempest Brewing Co., Tweedbank, Scottish Borders:



    Nose and taste is grape must, a little lemon, no bitterness to speak of...the rye in the grain bill makes this too dry for my liking...still pleasant enough.

    Black Bauble from To Øl, 8% ABV black ale. It's way darker then expected. Almost like a coffee porter. Also has a bit of a boozy flavour. But at the still time at has a sweetness and roundness to it. Was confused at first but it's really good. Cheers.

    Just had my first Brut IPA. New Belgium Brut IPA. Was a lot better than I was expecting. I'm going to look for more of the style to experiment with.

    I'm at the Albuquerque International Sunport, waiting for my delayed flight with a Santa Fe Brewing 7K IPA. (I'm guessing the 7K refers to Santa Fe's elevation. Seems a safe bet.)

    I wandered in because I spotted a Bosque tap handle, but it turned out to be a fruited wheat beer. Not my thing.

    The 7K IPA is on the malty side, with a decent piney and bitter finish. Not too shabby.
