As I peacefully stirred from a restful slumber, I felt a chill. I had forgotten the day, not just of the week but of the year. From tightly pinched eyelids I chanted more than spoke, "Not this year. Let them have forgotten." I let my eyelids relax and give themselves to the coming day.


There was no forgetting... one awaited me as I slumbered, probably staring at me for hours so they could pounce and devour my soul...


and have let the darkness re-consume me

I had to go traditional on this @LeperJim theme day with stupid photos of the cats, since this is the last year of this particular event. Even better is that I had this beer in the fridge that seemed quite apropos:


Adroit Theory B/A/Y/S (Black As Your Soul) - a nice classic imperial stout to start the... I guess it's daytime. So hard to tell...

Took the train to Brussels this morning, did the tour at Cantillon then drank bottles of Fou Foune and Lou Pepe
