Saturday's not a good day for me to drink big early - too many chores to do - so I hadda take a pass on @LeperJim's awesome promotional - and I do love me some darkness - but who's kidding who? No one can compete with a good ole' fashioned alien abduction, the kind that @GreenBayBA loves so much - always willing to take one (or two) for the team - so here's to @FreshlyGapedGreenBayBA and his willingness to do what it takes (again and again and again...) to win a *unicorn* mug... lol ...Love ya, bro...

Hell, I even hadda crap out on beer last night by the time of the Browns game - yeah, that's right - the Browns game - I know I'm supposed to hate these guys or something, being a Steelers fan and all - but goddamn if they aren't playing better than Shitsburgh these days...

Oh, and by "crap out," I mean, drink Scotch...

That there Casg Annamh is one of my top 5 all-time single malt Scotches - really impressive - lots of ginger, orange, spice, and cinnamon - sharp and spicy, sweet and clean - too fucking easy to drink - needless to say I drank too much - and not like intoxication-wise, BA - *tolerance* - just like, damn, I'mma-haveta-get-more-wise... Fortunately it was *only* a $60 bottle, but do I have what it takes to hit Total Wine during peak holiday shopping hours? Will it even still be on the shelves?

Nightmare's Scaphism... This one's a ************, BA, and highly recommended, though it was a limited purchase option here, and I doubt it gets any distro outside of Long Island...

Into Fox pregame show 2-of-2 (though, admittedly, I'm not paying too much attention - this beer is commanding my attention), ready for some big games today and a short (4-day) work week this week followed by holiday vacay...

Watched SNL in it's entirety last night night and it was great! Some highlights...?

DAY OF THE DARK 2018 WINNERS!

The sponsors of yesterday’s Day of the Dark would like to say there is absolutely nothing wrong with any BA wearing a dress and posting an image that will live in cyberspace forever.

Last years winner @GreenBayBA wore a dress and this year the Green Bay BA won again but this time wearing his jammies.

While most of us didn’t think this could possibly happen again, another BA Dress-wearer has revealed himself and won a prize this year...

@larryi86 came in second but lost forever the surprisingly coveted Rainbow Unicorn mug. The DotD council are discussing a solution for this very brave and troubled BA.

@thebeers showed that setting the alarm, posting a beer, and deploying a little dog at 6:03am on a Saturday ultimately pays off with a bottle opener.

It was a rollicking Day of the Dark 2018 and a noisy night in the Virtual Bar. The wheels got a little wobbly near the end but BA’s rose to the occasion and I’m happy to report nothing was broken and injuries were minimal.

According to DotD historian and beer-numbering-drinker @CanConPhilly page one was all dark beer up to post 35.

We also lost @joe1510 to his demons at the bottom of page two. R.I.P. Hope you feel better soon Joe.

Anyway, voting closed at noon and the final numbers are in from auditors Detoilette Hashtags & Douche. Despite my insistence that there be no ties, we have a tie for second. This has activated the emergency tie scenario and the results can be seen below.

..the bourbon in this cane off a little bit like scotch to me. I know the difference isn't huge between bourbon and scotch but I think the heavy malt and abv gave me that taste

Beautiful day. Decided to drive to the Mokena Binny's before seeing that Deadpool Christmas movie. But, didn't factor in FOMO into account of the timing. Had to buy a Revolution beer after buying the glass. Didn't even think of looking in the cold section. Lucky me. Oh well don't think I'm missing much skipping Deadpool. Beer run and picnic in all before it's legal to buy beer in Indiana on Sundays.
