2017 drinking like liquid gold. One of my favorite breweries combined with a favorite distillery. Need a cigarette, and I don't smoke

I thought this was good the first time I had it, but not so much now. Cheers.

I thought that was excellent back when I had it in August. Haven’t had it since.

Curious, have you had any of their Powder Dreams series?

Scaphism, a 17% imperial stout from Nightmare Brewing, the brainchild of one of Sand City’s head brewers is a monster. Based off “The Boats” torture methods this is brewed with milk sugar, honey, vanilla...and also happens to be the mystery stout I drank 2 weekends ago. Stupid drinkable for 17%, all the flavors shine in this. Well done, Billy.

It's good. I had one the other day and didn't think so. It could have been the other beers I was drinking. I think I expect too much.

Yes, I think I've had at least two of the Powder iterations.

Cape May Brewing's Boughs of Barley, an 11% Imperial Stout aged in Scotch Whisky barrels. I just reviewed it on the NBS thread. If you like a smoky stout, then then this will fit the bill. The after taste is like a cigar.

Is that the 6 or 7 irony? I prefer a wedge for those type of shots.

Very nice witbier. Nice fluffy head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of lemon, orange peel, peach, pear, melon, red apple, coriander, cardamom, rosemary, peppercorn, clove, and light banana yeast; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops and yeast earthiness. A bit muted aromas. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and yeast/coriander spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Creamy/grainy malts and some sticky hops/spice in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness; no cloying/astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, 5.6%. Nothing overwhelming. Great balance between Wit yeast, spices, and pale/wheat malts; with solid earthy hop presence. Textbook stuff, no flaws. 3.88

[IMG] Bissell Swish. So much better with 3 weeks of age on it. I did not enjoy it very much when it was a couple days old, but now it's drinking quite nicely. An early day off from work means an early beer. And Chinese food. Fuck yeah Chinese food.

    Also, Tim Minchin...Deep as, bro.
