regardless of the process, putting a vanilla bean in bcs should taste like bcvs.

I only had one actual bottle of prop 13, but my French press and I made about 10 low carb prop 13's after that.

That's not what a centrifuge does

Sounds like a shady health care provider.

I believe all non-Prop/Reserve variants were also available at Clybourn Market as well yesterday (right at corner of Diversey/Clybourn/Damen). No idea on price - wouldn't be shocked if they were upcharging, but I really don't have any experience there.

1000 Liquors at Belmont & Sheffield also had all non-Prop/Reserve variants yesterday. And they were appropriately priced (at least for Vanilla).

I've read different posts talking about the difference when letting the beer sit for a few hours, but when I pay something like $10-12 for a bottle, I'd need a lot more verification through cheaper stouts that decanting is the best way to do things. That said, I find the concept intriguing, but I'm skiddish about sacrificing bottles for the cause.

I was expecting the vanilla to really complement the beer and be more of a backseat sorta thing. Maybe better integrated is the word? I'm not sure. I suppose I simply didn't expect a homemade version to be identical to the real thing.

    Guess I'll chalk it up as a win. $13 + 2 for a bottle vs $25.

Shaved a few days off my life on Sat night, but had a great time.

    Prop 16 - still smokey.

Prop 17 - banana really fading and cinnamon strong. Drink now IMO

Prop 18 - nose is a strong earthy, unsweetened bakers chocolate. Tastes like Easter morning and overdosing on milk chocolate bunnies. I know that's not a ringing endorsement, but I like it. I also really like candy and chocolate though.

Reserve 18 - really good. Lots of barrel, vanilla and oak/char. Viscous. We had a 17 side by side with it and 17 had a ton of that raisiny/stone fruit happening. Comparatively, got none of that from 18. 18 > 17 for sure. We started the night with these.

MO/Vanilla - loved it. Would like to try this again with a cleaner palate.

There was a happy little accident of opening an extra Prop 18. So I tried the Prop 18/Vanilla mix. Also delicious. But who really knows at that point. Good times.

Besides Chicago, Kentucky and New York. What other states received 2018 Reserve?
