    Good morning BA
I'm drinking a semi local Belgian style this morning...
I really enjoy the base beer, but the port barrel gives this a little something extra. All the oak and vanilla without the bourbon burn.
    @joe1510 @TheGent @woodychandler
There are already 2 reviews and I've sent one out in trade. Worth considering. Cheers all!

A reply to @miwestcoaster from yesterday's WBAYDN? thread since it is now closed to further replies...

I did not see any Stroh's Bohemian-style pilsner but I would have grabbed some if I did. I initiated a beer trade with @cryptichead late last year for some. He sent two or three bottles. I greatly enjoyed it and certainly would love to get my greedy lil' beer mitts on some more.

Happy Tuesday ba. Cold and windy as shit here on the island. Hoping to head out to Greenport Harbor for lunch today but we shall see. Getting into it with some peruvian morning. Coffee seems to have fallen off a bit but still pretty solid stuff. Notch '18,

Love Taxman. That sounds like something they'd do well.

"...rich malt, raisin and red wine..."

Making me thirsty here at 9:15 in the morning!

Just cracked a Southern Tier 2XMAS. It smells and tastes like a Christmas spice bomb. But there's no deceptive advertising, they basically say that front & center on the label. While it may be somewhat more spiced than I like, it hits its mark cleanly. Label says "brewed with orange peels, ginger root, cardamom, cinnamon, fig paste and cloves". Everything is readily apparent except for the fig paste, and that just might because I have no idea what the hell fig paste is and therefore can't identify it. A nice Christmas ale.

    Cheers!

Took the boys to the Scottish National Museum today. Now around the corner at BrewDog’s Cowpen St. location having a Hazy Jane on tap:

Sludgy yeasty NEIPA (7.2%) which is so full and dull yeasty drinking as to be (almost) undrinkable.

Color of rich gold, white cap with good lace.

Aroma of creamy malt, not sweet, creamy, as in slightly rounded, slightly sweet, yet both together. Bit of spicy hops.

Taste is very nice malt cake with hop icing. Slightly spicy tartness, clean finish. clean aftertaste.

Giving this a go here ba. Son of Sapping Mammoth, ipa, Maine bc/Half Acre collabo. Clearly more of a mbc product. It really has a nice light and crisp feel to it. Decent hop notes with a mix of citrus fruit/white wine. Very defined and clean flavored. I'm not in love with it but it drinks decently enough,

This beer may hurt your wallet as discussed to death here, but god damn it doesn’t hurt my palate. Here’s the extraordinary CBS 2018:

Another new beer here ba. Beelzebub, American imperial stout, from The Alchemist brewing. Pretty decent chocolate malt upfront, a little chalky, but still good robust flavors. A rather defined citrus hop presence throughout the drinking. A bit lacking for an imperial stout at 8.5% abv. More inclined to agree with the black ipa nod here. I'm in the decent but not great area here players,

    Nice!
I found a bomber (large bottle) of this in the US by coincidence recently. Price was about $29,-- I think.

Yes, of-course I did  And luckily it survived 4 different flights. Think I'll be opening it this weekend, since it's a rather large bottle (with a large price tag for a beer).

I'm interested where you found yours. I could not find it around here or some of the online shops I use.

    Cheers!

Gerst amber at the Gerst Haus in Evansville with reuben sandwich and mac and cheese. Should have been here a couple days ago with a DD. It would appear that they had several Revolution Deth By variants. Oh well. Cheers all!
