Spiteful Brewing (2019)

Great beer, I picked up a 4-pack a week ago from the brewery

 

Isn’t there a guy named Anthony who would disagree with the prudence of the advice/classification contained in the name of this beer?

 

I deduce that, with the Brewers Assoc.'s new edict about offensive beer brand names, Spiteful will have to rename all of its brews, including (my favorite brew from it) "God Damn Pigeon Porter".

 

Had draft Selfies and 10/9 Bike Messenger last Sunday at Spiteful, Selfies was very good and 10/9 messenger was excellent. Have to get over to Spiteful more often.

 

Just won't be the same having to order a "Gosh Darn Pigeon Porter"....

 

Biker appreciation has always been my favorite spiteful beer.

 

I'm not too familiar with what this brewery's releases are like.

How often is Spiteful Malevolence Chocolate Caliente in particular released and when was the last time it was bottled? I put up a post a while back looking for it and didn't get bites.

 

Was honestly thinking about this yesterday, myself. I'm kind of assuming it was on at their anniv. party, but they don't have a particularly consistent history of brewing it.

It's usually released at A God Damn Delightful Day (at the Green Lady bar on Lincoln), which is admittedly not the ideal way to get a hold of it.

 

Last year they sold tickets via pick-up window at their taproom. I believe it was around February. Should be coming up soon.

Had last year's recently and it wasn't that great. If you grab a future bottle remember to drink it fresh.

 

This reminds me actually, my buddy had two bottles of Malevolence Chocolate Caliente saved from two years ago. We opened one a couple weeks ago and it was infected. Out of curiosity, we opened the second, and it was also infected.

Real bummer and waste of money.

 

Yeah, it has let me down recently, which is why it fell off my radar.

Also, totally didn't notice @Sabtos didn't say "BA", so my bad on probably talking about the wrong version.

 

Nah BA or not didn't matter to me, although I was unaware of the quality issues--maybe why there's a lag in releases...?

The first couple times they brewed it, it was amazing; my favorite BA Mexican hot chocolate stout. I think if they can add a little body to it a la Hostile Harry, it'd be a world-beater. Last time I had it I preferred Harry, because BAMCC tasted kinda watery.

Tried the vanilla hostile harry last night, not my favorite honestly. Got some weird flavors off it.
