Hanging out with my aunt and uncle in law, they just got back from Minnesota so we're splitting up some brews. Started with a crooked tree...

Then had a 75 minute, HUGE head...

    More to come! Cheers all!!

Having finished a delicious 75 Minute IPA, I am now turning to the mighty Double Bastard to help me endure the Giants' embarrassing play...

    The damage so far :

My first Hennepin : Tasty, if not a bit too mild. I preferred Sofie.
My first Duchesse : Gag. Ketchup beer. Sorry, not for me.
My zillionth HopBack : Still my #1 beer.

Next up? I think I'll post what I have in a bit and let BA decide.

My Italian beer video! And at the same time it honors my grandfather, who served so bravely in World War 2, as an Italian citizen fighting for America. He was in Papua New Guinea, as well as Japan. He was there the whole duration of the war, and I have much thank for him making such a sacrifice. ( He had just might my grandmothers months before his deployment, and made it back to her)

I wish I have a picture to share of him, but sadly I do not...but he was truly a beautiful man!

To all those who fight for freedom, land, love, and family... we thank you!

Now on to this...I have never had this one, but I'm really diggin it. Not as good as the Peche, but I could sip on this one through a long winter night.

Okay BA, this is what I have in my fridge, minus the disgusting Duchesse. What should I have next?

Troegs Hopback, GL Eliot Ness, SN Kellerweis, Duck Rabbit Milk Stout, Victory Prima Pils, Bear Republic Red Rocket, Ithaca Flower Power, Stone Levitation, Oskar Blues G'Knight, Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, Founders Breakfast Stout, BCBS, Goose Island Sofie, Okrney Skull Splitter, Hennepin, St. Bernardus Abt 12, 1809 Berliner Weisse, SN Estate, anything from Sam Adams Winter Classics.

Normally I don't do reveiws, but since the Steelers aren't playing today and all of the games in progress are a bore, maybe I'll do one for the beer chosen.

Edit : I just realized I have a stupid amount of beer right now....

If it is raining there like it is raining here then I would go Skull Splitter or FBS. Sunny- go for a Kellerweis or Estate. Save the Abt 12 for a nice dinner.

Whatever that pasta is, it looks delicious. If that's baked ziti, I'm jelly. If there's meatballs in it, I'm double jelly.
