Last one of these on hand. Not sure why that's ever a phrase I can utter; I should always have plenty of this on hand!

Happy Wednesday ba. Getting into it with Fork & Beans, stout brewed w/ coffee, from Greenport Harbor. Every release will utilize a different type of coffee. This one uses a maple & butterfinger coffee from a local company. Very nice stuff, that drinks rich and robust. Really has a nice touch of a sweet and sugary butterscotch flavor on the finish.

Not disappointed. Excellent stout and will ensure some sleep before I start nightshifts tonight. Cheers all!

Good evening from across the pond.

Starting my shift with Creamsicle Friends from Mikkeller. Weirdly citrusy and creamy at the same time. It works but not sure if it's a beer for me or not. Drinks pretty easily though. Cheers!

A morning run and a trip to the post office are the highlights of the day so far. Time to raise the bar......

Bottled NOV 14 2016 and tasting silky smooth and sweet. It's difficult to believe the abv. is 16%.

Yesterday was hell, but at least today I don't have class. Went for a run, exams getting turned in, can chill just a tad, now comes the grading. But at least I have a beer in my midst. Marble's DIPA. Diggin' it but need to find it canned more recently... cheers! I'll check in once in a while, headin' to New Mexico again for a little writing retreat, hopefully some good beers.

As a bonus: same beer as last night, as well. Stopper worked perfectly, and I'll be killing the rest of this 750 this afternoon.

    Cheers!

This is by far the most bitter bottle of Lunch I have ever had. I thought my taste buds were off after finally getting over a sinus infection but my son confirmed the high bitterness. Cheers!

From a bottle dated on the waxed cap, 2017. This is now sold as a four pack of cans.
L: Pours a thick, oily dark brown with a tan head that hangs around a bit, excellent lacing and a nice oily film on the glass.
S: Nose gets some dark fruit, toffee and roasted malts, bourbon and ash.
T: Tongue gets some coffee, dark chocolate just a hint of alcohol.
F: This is one of the "chewier" BA stouts that I've had the pleasure of trying.
O: This beer, with a year under its belt us about as good as they get.

Deep rich golden color with white cap and good lacing.

Rich malt aroma with a good dose of piney hops.

Flavor on entry is almost equal parts malty richness and hop brightness. Fairly simple flavors but served up in ample portions that lead to a fuller flavor profile. This isn't one of those IPAs where hops take over and malt just totes the luggage, rather seems to be a well thought out and crafted brew that keeps things in perspective while accenting the hop showcase. Hop flavors do build toward the finish and linger in the aftertaste but they are clean and bright without any heavy handedness.
