This is mind blowing stuff. Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge brownie, molasses, bourbon, vanilla, coconut, toasted oak, and dark bread; with lighter notes of raisin, prune, date, licorice, tobacco, soy sauce, smoke, and charcoal. Moderate roast/char bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spice on the finish. Medium carbonation and huge full body. Balanced creamy, silky, slick, sticky/chalky char roast, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing from tannic bourbon/oak and chalky roast malts. Fairly warming, not too boozy finish. Dangerously smooth. I am amazed at the amount of complexity that is opening up as it reaches room temperature. Enormous barrel presence, but also a ton of malt to back it up; so it doesn't become too tannic, boozy, and drying on the bourbon notes. One of the best imperial stouts I've ever had. Tweak is my favorite from Avery and in my top 15 reviews, but this is still in the top 50 of all beers I've had.

This was fantastic. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel/toasted malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 8.5%. Not quite a NEIPA, but I still loved it. Great Loral/Mosaic profile as expected. Awesome balance of juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Glad this is year round.

I went overboard doing squats at the gym yesterday, and I can barely move. This is a good beer to slowly sip on.

Fantastic stuff as expected. Aromas and flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, licorice, molasses, maple syrup, toffee, banana, raisin, plum, prune, fig, cherry, date, nuts, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, herbal/peppery hops, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, peppery hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full body; very creamy, silky, slick, bready malts; some sticky hops and chalky char/roast in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing hop/char bitter dryness; no cloying, acrid, astringency. Very smooth sipping, minimal warming 10.7%. Right on par with most of their other imperial stouts. Rich malt complexity; with balanced bananas, maple syrup, fruity yeast, and earthy hops against sweetness. Not overwhelming on the banana at all, very complementing.

I can remember days when I could not walk down steps after doing too many squats. Do you do high rep (like 20), low rep (like 5), or the magical 10-12 reps? Or do you switch it up workout to workout or over a period of time(say six weeks)?

I have not done barbell bench presses or any bench presses in decades. My shoulders are much happier. I did do some incline dumbbell presses on Friday and my chest is sore as hell even though I did just two sets.

I usually go with 10-12 reps with my exercises, but yesterday I decided to just do as many reps of squats with 135 lbs. as possible. I lost count of how many reps that I did, but I had to lay on the floor afterwards for 5 minutes. It felt like I almost fell off of the planet.

Fantastic Milkshake DIPA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, blueberry, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough malt; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and slight berry tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready/grainy malts/lactose; light sticky hops and slight lingering resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 8.6%. Extremely juicy and lightly dank fruit/Mosaic hop complexity; perfect lactose, vanilla, malt backbone. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering bitter dryness. Not a ton of blueberries, but well balanced with the hop profile. Right on par with the rest of the series mostly. I love all of them.

Been working at the bar all weekend and just started my last shift before Christmas. Starting off, somewhat, nice and easy.

Mango Feber from Brewski, a 8.0% ABV imperial IPA. It's fruity, sweet and fresh but still packs a punch. 6 more hours before I can go home and officially relax for the holidays. Cheers and merry Christmas!

    Damn, sounds tasty.
How is it? Heavy seas is pretty hit and miss for me. Usually Eisbocks are a higher abv. Love that style of beer. Too many far and few.

Light gold color with good white cap and lacing.

Aroma of sweet malt and floral, spicy hops.

Taste on entry is significantly malty with a good spicy hop hit. Fairly simple flavors well combined. Malt is forefront with hops singing the high notes. Hop spiciness catches up with the malt by mid palate and then builds to the finish ending on a firm classic hop dryness that lingers in the aftertaste. Quite refreshing as well as satisfying.
