Good to hear, while not exactly a "bad trader" exactly it is a lesson in how not to trade

 

Yep, bad trader in my book. who the fucks sets up and trade then claim it was a mistake? sucks that everyone is going with that "its just beer" BS but no integrity here, I guess.

 

I feel like there needs to be a consent Check box prior to being allowed to trade. If you dont do it, you dont get to post ISO/FT.

 

Gotta win that trade! Mistake or not, it was extremely petty and just makes him look like he has zero integrity.

 

Not a huge fan of the whole glad this didn't get "messy" angle. Feels like forced damage control before OP had a chance to formulate a response that could've salvaged the trade. That being said, I don't think @WIBeerSnob should be dragged through the streets for this. Questionable stuff happened, seemingly an aberration. He'll either be more careful in the future or prove some of us right moving forward. In the end, this thread was productive, 5 out of 5, would read again.

 

Curious if you heard anything on this very generous offer to make everyone whole?

 

It does appear that this trade will happen, as posted. Pending my return from Christmas.

Completely disagree here. Traders need to be 100% responsible for their posts and actions. While the messages back and forth are vague, @WIBeerSnob should complete the trade he posted, regardless if he *made a mistake or not. Maybe slow down and make sure you know what your trading. Seems a little shady that he backs out of a trade then re-posts a similar trade.

Allowing this type of behavior on this site is a slippery slope and should not be tolerated imho. This is opening the door to posting trades, agreeing to the trade via DM then backing out when you’ve scored a better deal just because it wasn’t an official trade. I’m not sure how a mistake like this could happen. I could see it being a mistake if you copied and pasted an old FT post but there is nothing similar, unless you deleted your post. Actually it looks like you deleted the “mistake” post as well. After looking at all your other FT posts I think your mistake is complete BS.

I can respect your reasoning here, for sure. I just personally don't feel comfortable painting a super negative picture of @WIBeerSnob. He's got 100% positive feedback with 39 completed trades (one with a trader I exchanged with and respect). Just looks like he did something out of character, like any human being does time to time. With no evidence supporting the fact that @WIBeerSnob is a habitual wet fart, I'll have to let him off the hook for this one.

 

He had an opportunity to make it right and didn't. So, there's that.

 

True. But he was lightly bullied into a corner. No one likes to find out people are talking shit about him/her. I can see where someone would stand his/her ground in a situation like that.

This is a great thread for BA for trading in general. Many great points for all looking to trade whether new or a seasoned trader. I thought it gave great feedback on implied trading and what is expected when you exchange information on both sides.

 

I'm just going to give my honest opinion...traders with that amount of trades and experience do NOT make these mistakes. Something does NOT add up. Just calling it like I see it.
