Fantastic as always. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, molasses, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, dark bread, fudge, and herbal/pine hops; with lighter notes of raisin, licorice, smoke, charcoal, and coconut. Some increasing booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate herbal/spicy hop, roast/char bitterness; and light bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied. Very creamy, silky, velvety mouthfeel; lightly slick, sticky hops, chalky char/roast, and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char bitter, oak tannic dryness. No acrid/astringency. Dangerously smooth sipping; mildly warming 14.8%, minimal barrel booze. Spot on rich Russian imperial stout style malt complexity, balancing earthy hops, and amazing barrel integration. Looking forward to reviewing Cafe Deth soon enough. Grabbed a lot of cans this year of both.

Insane NEDIPA as always. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy, bready, grainy wheat/oats in the mouthfeel. Slight hop stickiness, with a touch of increasing lingering bitter dryness. Zero hop astringency. Dangerously drinkable for 9.3%, minimal warming ABV. One of the absolute best in the style I've had, smoothness is unmatched. Pure citrus/tropical fruit juice hop flavors, with a touch of dankness. Never overly sweet/heavy feeling on malts for the ABV; perfectly balanced. Super soft mouthfeel. Old Nation definitely has the best MI NEIPAs.

I am drinking Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Vanilla Stout, ABV 14.90%. This is my review, I sometimes write beer reviews, it is NOT for sale. Who wants a half drunk beer anyway? Anyway, it is truly enjoyable, a bit sweet, some roasted malts, some chocolate and coffee, significant vanilla and then bourbon and slight booziness. I am finishing the bottle as I type.

This was insane. Thick pour, nice head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, whipped cream, marshmallow, fudge, cookies, brownie batter, and toasted dark bread; with light notes of molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, and yeast earthiness. Slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Very mild herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; perfectly creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel. Slight sticky hops and chalky char/roast. Slightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying sweetness. Mildly increasing warmth of 11.8%. Dangerously smooth sipping. Mind blowing for a dessert stout as expected. Insanely rich malt complexity and perfectly balanced oreo cookie/cake-like flavors. Not overly sweet/heavy for me at all. Hope they make it again, was very hard to find more than a couple bottles.

Hey @superspak i just want you to know that your reviews are truly great. Sometimes I just skim them, if it’s a style I’m not into, but most times I read every word and take them into account when making my purchases. It really seems as though you enjoy the beers and I imagine you beaming as you type the first word, fantastic, outstanding, incredible. Your work here is much appreciated, thank you.

A solid citrus hopped beer. Almost no carbonation but the feel is kinda creamy. Nice!

Insane DIPA as usual. Aromas and flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, biscuit, light caramel/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Super smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 9%. Amazing classic Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe, Cascade, Citra profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; great bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering resin dryness. Well attenuated for the ABV. One of the best west coast DIPAs ever made, especially with having no newer hops.

I put a wine-stopper in the Fyodor that I started out with, then switched to this juicy milkshake IPA. I have to pace myself. It is important that I am able to stay up late enough to have my annual IP beer trade with Santa Claus. This year I am looking forward to getting a brut IPA that is distributed only around the North Pole.

Had to put a wine stopper in this big boy yesterday as it was getting too sweet. Finishing it off this morning while I cook some omelettes for myself and my bride. OVER THE LINE. Mark it 0 dude.

I just got off from (surprisingly) a pretty tough overnight, picked up some scratch-offs and stocking stuffers on the way home and am now waiting to tip my garbage guy so I figure a nice bier while I wait would be nice.
Something about this chilly, kinda raw weather that just screams this. It’s so fucking good. Smoke is perfect, taste is gold. This would be a last meal/desert island beer for sure. Merry Christmas Eve all!
