Just split a bottle of Velvet Magnum with my 86 year old grandfather and he absolutely loved it.

If he’s looking for a drinking buddy then maybe put him in touch with the OG hazegramps

Dreamy and Creamy. Just catch words that allows OH to keep putting milk into their IPA’s. Sad, really. Over the past 6 months, I have taken my business elsewhere. I was an original supporter of this brewery, back when they made west coast IPA’s and hung out with the cat. No more. You can’t keep dropping alcohol in milkshakes and calling it a beer.
    Merry Christmas y’all!!

Back-to-back heavy 'tose release weeks and now OH is the enemy of the people. Looks like we found our gripe and rallying cry for 2019!

In seriousness, if you're going to release over-indulgent beers that are bit to the extreme of your norms, Christmas and NYE is exactly when you do so.

    It's going to be okay.

I’m taking the 20:1 odds on it being a quintuple dry hopped Brut QIPA

Not going to lie. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Currently in Key Biscayne, and am supping on a Last Buffalo In The Park (which, as an aside, I’d consider both sweet and punchy, but still very drinkable compared to OH imperial stouts) which I found at a local store along with some more FB stuff, as well as CBS and BCBS. But missing the OH hoppy beer. All I could grab was some 3 month old Jai Alai and 3 month old JW IPA. I would gladly trade that in for some tose

Finishing off a Short, Dark & Wired from the October release and it’s still amazing. That’s...pretty much all.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world a good OH stout didn’t exist.

Heading on vacation without packing a few was a bold move. Enjoy the weather!

Man not a single one of those beers sounds enticing. That blueberry crunchee beer sounds horrible.

Which is one of the worst beers I’ve ever had. Diabetes in a can.

The descriptions on that last release post were a bit wacky but at least they haven’t gotten to Tired Hands description levels. I’m convinced TH posts are written by someone tripping on LSD.

Maybe this is blasphemous here but I find the occasional OH deprivation to be a positive reset, and plane travel is the natural time for it.

I can see how temporary relocation can shift palates. Spent a week down in the Dallas/Fort Worth area over the summer and sent some local treats down there. As much as I enjoy those types of beers when I’m in my natural habitat, they didn’t fit with the environment. I can understand why German syles are so popular down there. It’s fucking hot. We had a bunch of whales in the fridge and I found myself gravitating towards Saint Arnold kolsch and pilsner.

What are the chances of a midweek/NYE Mylar/ACE/DMD? When is the sand city collab expected to drop?
