Continuing on with our 16 Nights of Firestone Walker tasting, Little Lady and I are on night #14, as we continue through our Anniversary Ale vertical. Tonight is XII:

    Thoughts on this blend...

Maybe I'm just a sucker for the Parabola (44% of blend), but I LOVE this beer. 16 is a damn fine blend, and 13 is really really good, but this is drinking very well right now. If you have one of these put back, reward your efforts and open it.

I started at 53 degrees and have been sipping for the past 45 minutes or so, and it just keeps getting better.

In honor of Veterans Day, I like to drink a little more than usual to honor those past, present, and future service members who give so much so all of us can live in peace. I am US Army 2001-Present, and I have so many great brothers and sisters in arms. That being said.....

Which was a wonderful brew. I followed it up with.....

Which is so good it should be illegal. Finally, topped it off with......

Yeah, even I have trouble understanding what he is saying. And the message is the same, and that is what makes it universal. I wish I could find lyrics so I can give you an idea but no go with that thus far...

Just tried first bottle of my homebrewed Great Lakes Xmas Clone. Good, but not great. May have overspiced...hope it mellows in the next couple weeks.

Have since moved on to SN Celebration!

Drinking my homebrew "All I Smell Is Mole Asses" molasses brown ale.

it's pretty good, but I went too heavy on the molasses, so it's a little too astringent...

God bless the military! I love you guys, you get nowhere near the credit you deserve for an all volunteer outfit!
