It's a miserable day in SEPA. 40s and raining. I'm just curling up on the couch with a nice, warming 2017 Bourbon County Brand Stout. It's taking the chill off for sure. To me, this beer is an all-timer. It's one of the top few beers I've ever had.

 

To Øl Blizzard In A Beer Mug. A Winter Wheat India Pale Ale. Awesome beer. I buy this again when I see it.

Bad Weather Brewing Company Tippin' It Down

 

Cold day here with mixed precipitation. A house full of people, including two grandsons who seem bent on beating the crap out of each other. I'm thinking of driving them out into the desert and leaving them there. Realistically, I know I'd never get away with it, so I'll start drinking and try to lose my murderous thoughts.

 

Rainy and cool, forecast for more of the same, probably the last day with Christmas decor, and also the anniversary of Lemmy's death back in 2015... Seems like the perfect day for The Perfect Storm, er, Mother of All Storms...

2018 bottling of this 14% abv English-style barleywine from Pelican Brewing...

Aromas suggest bourbon-soaked dark fruits like plum, prune, raisin, and fig... On the sip, similar fruity impressions blossom, with a rich malt base and flavor elements of molasses and fruit breads drenched with booze... The feel is full, round and soft, with a little bit of chewy fruit under a light air of vanilla and dark whiskey... Enchanting...

This beer spent far too long on my wants list, but it was every bit worth the wait - one of the best English barleywines out there... Highly recommended...

What’s happenin’ BA fam. It’s 10:45 AM here. Le Wife is getting her hair done, so naturally it’s time to hit up a local taphouse whilst visiting the in-laws. I am ecstatic that they are offering Heady Topper and Focal Banger for in-house consumption. I’ve never had Focal, so count me stoked. Lets get it!
