    Grande Cuvée Porter Baltique - Fûts De Bourbon Et Brandy from Les Trois Mousquetaires. Brought this one back from Quebec about a year and a half ago, wish I purchased more. A black lager aged in bourbon and brandy barrels. One of the most incredible beers I have ever tasted. Cheers!

    First time having a beer from Schilling out of NH, and this Kolsch style ale is tasting pretty good. One of the better Kolsch beers I’ve drank!

    New release from Grayton Beer Company in Florida.

    Bright, clear light gold color with white cap and lacing.

    Aroma of soft grain with floral hops.

    Taste of clean, light grain, mostly malt with perhaps some other grain as well. I would say more bread than cereal like. Very low hop presence, less than in the scent actually. Perhaps a touch of sweetness in the surprisingly creamy body. Fairly simple in it's approach it's still quite tasty.

    Still battling the crud today, so mostly laying low sneezing and hacking and coughing and feeling generally blah. But not so bad that I can't pursue some of my favorite hobbies such as reading (Steven Hawking's 'Brief Answers to the Big Questions), listening to jazz and classical music, and trying new beer...



    For a chili and harvest beer, this one has a great look, especially with the head. The appearance and smell are definitely fine. It's when moving on to the taste and mouthfeel that the beer loses ground. The taste does bring out the peach and Hatch green chili notes but also has a strong alcohol character poking its nose out, especially towards the end of each sip. The body is fair yet rather bland and watery.
