My workshop is a mess. I'm going to make an effort to get it reasonably clean this weekend.

I hate the term "hazebro," seriously. I get it, though. That said, the fact that you still love Pliny is an exceptional statement. There really is staying power with a lot of beers that some would consider long in the tooth. Cheers.

Do I need to get to Flossmoor Station? I have been reluctant for no good reason.

Same here, the reluctance part. I used to go often back in the day. Today was my first time back in 3 years, probably. And that time was the first time in a couple. They're doing pretty well. The red waxed (13 month) Wooden Hell is pretty damn good. The one I'm drinking now, black wax, is good. The crowd there is proper. Towny locals. Good people. The staff too.

    Go there.

Suggs Secret Stash hazebro at Something Brewery. Pretty dank and slightly bitter for the style. I'm a fan....

Operation Clean Out The Fridge On Time Off continues with this beauty.
    Schell's Brewing - Stag Series #12 - 1879 Kulmbacher Export.

A tasty brew from the 2nd oldest family owned brewery in thew nation. I head that way a lot, because my aunt lives in New Ulm, but it's been years since I've done the tour. Will 2019 change that?

Pours a brownish color. The head is off white, semi tan. 1 finger head, that has decent retention. Really nice ring of foam that clings to the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose is fairly minimal. I do get a slight malty aroma. Slight fruit aroma.
Taste - There's a lot going on here in the flavor department. I'll do my best to describe it. Up front I get a malty sweetness. I do get the slight fruit flavor combined. On the backside I get hints of hops.
The body is decent. I do like how the carbonation dances in my palate for a long time.
This is a good beer. A lot going on, and I can't put words to all I'm experiencing here, but it is a tasty, and solid brew from the 2nd oldest family owned brewery in the nation.

Since I'm on a German style beer...
