Stone Sanctimonious IPA. Pleasantly surprised with this. It's quite bright and refreshing.

Desultor. An unknown but super underrated band. Swedish technical death metal with clean, operatic singing instead of growling. Imagine Nevermore with blast beats.

More new NEIPAs. This was awesome. Fantastic head retention/thick soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy, silky, bready, grainy malts; light sticky hops, and slight resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 6.5%. Feels like Simcoe, Amarillo, El Dorado. Very juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank/earthy hops; great wheat/oat/malt balance. Mild residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Very impressive, spot on style example. 4.13

    The Melvins, you say?

But seriously, though. They are a great hoppy brewery.

Not sure how to explain it but usually after four beers, I am ready to move on. Wine. Bourbon. What ever I can get my sorry ass hands on.

Getting off track. Beer #5. My last Triple Crossing in the house. I should really get a Triple Crossing glass.

That went well I think. Do not work too hard tomorrow my friends.

I watched the documentary and probably 20 minutes of the movie. As a fan of Orson Welles, I tried.

Third Man is Nexflix if it doesn't work out but if you are watching Other Side of the Wind then I am sure you have seen it.

I've given it almost an hour and I've about given up. Yes, a fan, too. Lots of other stuff on my to-watch list, including Tourneur's original Cat People. With the GF away for a couple of days, it's my time to watch what I want to, when I want to.

Outstanding coffee stout! Fantastic head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, spicy hop; and roast/charred coffee bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium body; very creamy, silky, velvety, bready malts; light sticky hops and chalky char/roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no acrid/astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 6.5%. Amazing balance of rich malts and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with mild fruity yeast and earthy hop presence against sweetness. Really big fan! 4.18

Because they put it in. Haha. I apologize for sounding patronizing, but in this case the beer actually literally tastes like Oreos. Haha.

Earlier this evening, I didn't post the pic but here it is:

And right now / real time? Numero-el-two-o =====> 6XIPA. :yum:

Good stuff. 2XIPA is about $11-12 for a six pack of 8.2% and 3XIPA is about $14 for a four pack of same sized bottles at 9.5%. I'll stick with old faithful for $12 / 6-pk, the extra 1.3% isn't worth the higher price and smaller qty. (And 2X packs more flavor, IMO.) Still, will enjoy the last couple of 3X bottles, no complaints here. :yum:

    :beers:!!
