I'm visiting an old friend, Victory Golden Monkey. I always have a couple of these on hand. This is an all-timer for me. I love the coriander & spiciness that complement the fruitiness perfectly. In the past 20 years, I've probably drank more of this than any other craft beer. And I still love it to death.

Canned 1/6/18. Nearly a year old, so let's see how it turns out.
L: Pours transparent and straw yellow in color. Looks more transparent than other variants I've tried, but that could be due to age. Settles slightly more unfiltered but still relatively clear. Surprisingly didn't get much sediment at the bottom of the can. About 2 fingers width of a frothy white cap with heaps of sudsy lacing that cling to the glass. I luv dat lacing.
S: Hardly any aroma apart from salinity. Slightly breadyness and floral properties but zero mango presence.
T: Bready flavor with mango and citrus flavor on the finish. The salt that was smelled in the aroma is also abundant in the flavor. Aftertaste is mango with mild grass flavor.
F: Light in weight but slightly fuller in body. Carbonation has retained nicely, adding the perfect fizzle element on the tongue.
O: I have really enjoyed this series. I do wish I would have tried this fresher, but I am still enjoying it.
    Cheers BA fam.

The Perfect Nose, a collaboration between Evil Twin and Westbrook. Wow did this go bad, sadly a drain pour. Back with another beer when I can get this putrid taste out of my mouth.

We shared a similar experience. The Breakfast Kløb I had earlier went bad and subsequently took a ride down the drain. Nearly had to resort to Listerine to rid the taste.

My first Scottish Ale, which is probably not the best example of the style, to be honest. Still drinkable enough though.

Pretzels, water, bread and crab salad (why I don't know, it was there) did not kill the taste. Brushed my teeth which worked. Now I just have to get the taste of toothpaste out before I crack open a new beer.
