Don't judge me unless you've worked 12 hour nightshifts...

I've not drank this beer without food for many years. Not so good. Only a plus 3% rDev for me which is rare. I'm normally 20-30 positive on an AAL. Oh well. Finishing this up and off to bed. Cheers all!

I’m admittedly not a fan of dark red fruits or berries beer. There has to be exceptions to the rule, obviously. Rodenbach Grand cru is outstanding and I’m very happy that this Flanders red ale hit our shelves.

I haven’t been on this side of WBAYDN for a while and after kind of a brutal night of work, it’s freezing out, I need to thaw out, and a haircut, I’m having one before I pass out for 2 hours. This is a surprisingly delicious beer. Cheers all!

Starting off with a Stone Ruination DIPA. Bottle says "sans filtre", and it is in fact cloudy, no sediment, though. Pine, citrus & tropical fruits are dominant. Grapefruit & mango. I had this one a couple of months ago for the first time and picked it up again as soon as I saw it last week. Good choice. This is a hoppy DIPA and well worth it.

    Cheers!

I’ve had this sitting in my fridge for quite some time waiting for the right time to drink it. I’m not positive this is the right time either, but I’m going to drink it anyway.

This is one of the better iterations of this I’ve had in awhile. Huge black coffee and Irish cream notes, cutting through that bitterness. Usually find these too sweet but this one is on point.

My morning juice, again. Malpais Stout for the win. After that atrocious Bears loss last night. Woke up grumpy as hell, and it's a Monday. Which does not help. And look at those other feeds and forum topics... take a moment to edit, people! I'm sure my mood will improve after the beer...

Hello Ba ... Decided that I'm just not ready for a full week back at work, so let's go ahead and take Monday off. Gonna take it easy today with some of my favorite action flicks and probably a nap. Cheers !

Good morning, BAs! This week I officially start marathon training (not to be confused with a New Year's resolution). I figured I was going to run early-ish today, but then consulted my training schedule to find that Monday is ....

.... a rest day. Well, shucks. Think I'll have a beer instead, then. :grinning:

To be fair, given my typical Sunday schedule of beer consumption, Mondays really should be rest/recovery days. :flushed:

    Cheers!

Oh man, back when I was crushing the night shift (about 16 years ago now), it was brutal. Our typical post-shift requirement was: a restaurant open for breakfast that serves us beer.

We weren't too picky about what kind of beer, either.

I'm posting this to notify @TongoRad of its existence. It's not something to fall in love with, but it exists and it's nice. It's quite light and easy... with a subdued toasty malt and chocolate character with just a hint of acidity.

A local stab at the light style . . .

Very light color, sort of a ginger ale appearance with frothy white cap.

Mild aroma of sweet malt and floral hops.

Tastes like a light beer which is to say beer in a diminished capacity. Of course that's rather the point of light beers, undemanding and lower in calories. I do get mild, sweet malt with just enough hop presence to balance. Finishes crisp and clean with a bit of the same lingering in the aftertaste.

    Light-medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Ok, a light beer with the general attributes of that genre. For all that it is a good example.
