Last time I was at a beach, years ago, my buddy brought corona and Sam Adams lager. After a full day on the beach these all tasted great and was very refreshing. Today my choice would be Hamms or High Life.

Back at the beach house it’s totally different story

    Enjoy

My beach/ summer fishing beer is Dog Fish Head Indian brown, I know it seems out of place. Let me tell you those things have so much flavor that you believe you are drinking a 10% imperial something. Maybe I'm just weird, but that's my beach shit.

Yeah, Heady is tasty anywhere on the planet, but personally I'm not a fan of slogging down anything over 6-7% abv on a hot beach.

Carton Boat on the other hand is the perfect beach beer for me. 4.2% abv, lots of citrusy hops, bone dry finish. Carton Beach is great too I just prefer Boat.

If I'm not feeling hoppy and just want a "beer's beer", Narragansett tallboys all the way. Gansett Light, too.

Big dipas I limit , rarely more than 2. I also bring an aal of some flavor. They’re just the first beer on my beach day that pulls the pressure plug.

About this time of year, in the past, Hopslam has been my snowblower beer. I love snow, cold and winter and I’m missing it.
Sitting at Grand Haven beach with a BA Expo right now sounds pretty nice too. Cheers!

If I was on a beach in Ireland I think a fine Guinness would work. In La Jolla I would like to find an Anchor Steam, but an old fashioned Green Flash might suffice.

The last time I was at the beach was when we were in Punta Cana, and I probably won't be back at he beach until we go back. As it was then, and will be again, I'll be sipping on Presidente, taking in the sights.

The "beaches" I'm used to are small mountain lakes and streams. Last beer I had on one of those beaches was a bud lite line with my father in law. The beer tasted like 7up, but the company was amazing. Lost him in 14 and I would give my right hand to get one more chance to pound shitty beer, eat sardines and crackers, and catch brook trout with him. :frowning2:

I live on the beach in Oregon, If I only drank what the weather dictated I'd have to change beers every 10 minutes. Wait, whats wrong with that?

I would go with a fresh local IPA, something bright/citrus forward around 5-6% ABV.

Right now it's about -5 C (OP will understand) and I'm having a fantastic Bellwoods Imperial Stout. A great beer for a snowy day.

During the summer, by the lake when it hits about 25 C, I can drink IPA until I fall off my chair.

Weather does influence my beer choices...winter is for the heavy and "dark" beers, while summer is IPA and lighter beers.

Hey! I live on the border, and get about 1/3 of my news from Vancouver sources. We "get" your system, we just don't understand why you insist on calling a perfectly pleasant 70 degrees 21.

Also, I enjoy listening to BC radio ads where a certain Toyota model is a Ce-lee-ca, the thing that keeps the engine cool is a RAD-e-ator, and one might put DEC-els on their bumper.

Eh, just joshing. Carry on Canadia!

(PS, please send some TimBits. TH refuses to open a store on my side of the line. Even though, they've got some stores near Buffalo.)

If I am at the beach and on the beach . . . there is a difference . . . I would be drinking a Corona with lime. If I am inside the beach house, I would be drinking a variety of hefes, IPAs and APAs.

El Presidente in the Dominican heat was very much appreciated, I got sick of drinking rum punches.

If it's wintertime.. I'd go with a higher ABV Heady Topper, as suggested before , simply because my butt won't be on that beach long.

If it is summertime.. Fat Heads - Sunshine Daydream (how apropos).

I'm enjoying the juicy IPA I'm drinking right now, despite NY's bitter cold weather. I wish I was somewhere hot and tropical like FL, though.

So it’s raining, going to get colder and turn into freezing rain. 1/4 in of freezing rain perhaps, and I hate the ice. Which beer? Keeping it sane I have some heavyweight stouts, but I’m sticking with Michelob..... with bourbon on the side of course.

29 degrees in Minneapolis tonight. Nights like this a stout sounds so tasty. Tonight, a 2012 Parabola was the perfect elixer.
