    It was the barrels. The folks citing articles from 2016 aren't accurate. Goose had to give the public a reason as to why they had to return their bottles- they went with the easiest answer at the time- something occurred in process. The truth is Goose didn't know- if you read Josh Noel's book about Goose Island and Bourbon County you will see that the actual infection was most likely determined to be from crappy barrels because their demand exceed the supply they were taking whatever they could get their hands on.

    So if you want to contradict this, please, make sure you read the book first. Otherwise- fake news.

    You experience differs from mine. I find that their Untappd list linked on the website is regularly updated but I may also check more infrequently than you do thus me thinking it gets regularly updated. How often do you check?

    Technically... no one is right. And GI "doesn't know" still.

    The line in HoW's page to read states: "They never quite knew. The likeliest culprit was the barrels."

    Key word being likeliest. So it's purely speculation as to where they actually picked up the infection(seemingly). With the barrels being a very good possibility, but not 100% confirmed. :slight_smile:
