Thanks for the tag @Franfab . Totally forgot to respond to this earlier in the week. So let me get this straight- All I have to do is sign up via the protocol noted in the first post. I'm randomly assigned a square. If I win I get porch bombed by all these maniacs (and potentially divorced). If I lose I send 44 or 88 oz of neighbor beer (JK) to the big wiener? No other work on my end?

 

@flat_lander one slight modification - you choose the square and are randomly assigned numbers. Other than that, you’ve nailed it. Of course, if you win, be sure to post pictures. Pretty simple - but yeah - if you win, explaining to the wife can be a chore.

Maybe you guys roll differently than I do but....

When the wife walks in carrying a box and says “WTF is this??????” (In my favorite tone no less), I tend to answer “It looks like a box of beer, WTF is wrong with you?”

I’m 50/50 to be honest.

I’ve tried to figure it out but I really think it depends on the previous nights moon if she’s gonna bring the box in or leave it outside....

Mine has moved to the “ it looks heavy” statement aka “I’m not lifting a finger on your beer”.

 

Big fan of that TONE. Same goes for this rhetorical question “ Don’t you have enough beer?”
Been married long enough to know I shouldn’t respond to the bait.

 

I’m not sure which I enjoy most, the TONE or the EYE ROLLING.....

But yes the “Don’t you have enough beer???” (Complete with tone and eye rollling) is a common favorite of mine as well.

I have been married long enough to know better, but good lord I can’t help myself from answering!

 

The wife and I have an understanding. I don’t ask what is in all of the amazon boxes and she doesn’t ask about the what’s in the scuzzy, dirt / packing tape covered boxes that show up for me. Since the amazon ones outnumber the beer boxes about 5:1 I have some cover.
But if the garage fridge gets too full with beer then there are words. I have tried to make that fridge my personal domain with zero success.

 

The struggle is real.....
