So lately I've gotten extremely over "beer chasing". I just want easy to find good beers that I don't have to think too much about or spend too much money on. I have a good listing of hops & pilsners I can go to.

I love BA stouts, but real sick of spending $12+ on 12 oz beers or $20 on a bomber. I am looking for cheap, 4 pack type BA stouts. Maybe bombers like Lagunitas Willetized if cheap enough. But really something in the vein of Dragons Milk & its variants, Sunday Morning (& Mole) Stout, High West Victory at Sea, KBS (when available), etc.

What are some I am missing available in the Boston area?

Revolution Deth's Tar is awesome. ~$25 for a four pack of cans. Fort Point Market in the Seaport had it, not sure if it's still in stock.

Clown Shoes bombers are a decent value and there are some real gems in there.

Yeah, I do love Clown Shoes. But I typically don't find them less than $14-15.

The barrel-aged Catamount Porter that Harpoon has out right now is really good for $7/bomber. Highly recommend for the price.

Not sure if it's distro'd year round, and not a stout, but seabago's BBA barleywine is really good and a fair value.

I clicked here to say the same thing (granted it's not a stout). I really liked that beer, and the 2-pack of 12 oz cans is the perfect format. I haven't seen it around yet this winter.

Also technically not a stout, but BA Framinghammer might fit the bill.

Boulevard Whiskey Barrel Stout is my go-to for a year-round shelf barrel-aged stout. Usually runs me $14 for a 4-pack.

Central Waters BA stout - 4 packs. I know it's generally at Fort Point market.

BA Expedition is a personal favorite, not super cheap at ~$7-$8 a bottle I think, but worth every penny IMO. Not BA, and I haven't seen it in a while (unfortunately), but Smuttynose Batlic Porter is incredible.

    Also, great thread.

I mean, I love BA Framinghammer & all the variants. But I'm looking for cheaper than $12-14 for 16oz.

BA Expo was around a couple months ago. Picked some up & I agree it's fantastic. Just haven't seen it for a while.

Wound up finding a place with some nice singles, for $60 picked up a 12 bottle selection including some Dragon's Milk, SMS, Cassian Sunset, Peruvian Morning, HW Victory at Sea, & Sixpoint BA 4Beans. Still looking though! Thanks for the input

Lagunitas Willettized is like $8 at places that have it. Probably the best value BA stout out there.
