    Two of my favorite Russian Imperal Stouts are Ivan the Terrible and Old Rasputin. I'd like to know how two very good RIS's go from being so good to so bad just cuz it sits in a bourbon barrel for who knows how long.
    Its probably just me, but I'm haven't had BA stout that's as good as the base beer. Ten-Fidy comes close, but still no cigar.

    Today I got a whole lotta nuttin done, although I did take Mrs. Z and the dogs to the Tuesday market in Gulfport. On the balcony now with a Jai Alai:



    Don’t let the sunshine fool you, it’s a windy brutal 59 degrees here :rolling_eyes::sunglasses: Hardly swimming pool and IPA weather - Cheers!

    That looks and sounds delicious . Their Deep Sea Series is one of my favorites .
    Lots of breweries are really stepping up with some great stuff :slight_smile:

    Yup! Barbecuing again. Brats and Knockwurst first on the grill and then about 20-25 minutes in some Bitburger amongst other things. Baked beans, tots, sauerkraut and a salad and yours truly cooking it all.

    Now my fourth IPA brew from Cape May Brewing and I’m becoming very impressed . This is the first time I’ve seen this offered and it’s nice to support a local NJ brewery :slight_smile:

    I’ve had three of their Doubles, but first time seeing a triple IPA .

    SNAG AND DROP
    III IPA
    10 abv

    Dank, resinous and juicy as the label indicates .
    Cracked the can and the aroma was wonderful .
    First sip I was unsure that I would like the dankness , but by the third sip I couldn’t put it down as it keeps calling me back .
    Not the pillowy fluff head as some, but still big and lacing from top to bottom .
    Poured cold from 16 Oz can into small frosted tulip .
    Really interesting profile and the aroma alone will get you :slight_smile:
    Highly recommended !!
