so curious since I know some heavy hitters in here anybody have a package get damaged in transit - coming or going? I have a box through FedEx that is at facility with exception claiming damage. Is my end of a trade sending some local hops to CA with bottle logic coming back. Stands to reason the BL broke and he was late in mailing so was supposed to throw some xtra in not sure what that amounted to. Talked to him and he said he'd contact FedEx but what is the situation going forward?

 

Is it at a hub near you? If so, call and be persistent and tell them you will come and pick it up.

They often let it get picked up. Sometimes sent back to shipper, sometimes they claim "destroyed".
Lots of people have had success being persistent at the local hub. I think there is a specific FedEx thread in trade talk somewhere that discusses.

 

Thanks Jon I have seen that been checking a few threads, hub is about an hr away from my work which would be about 1 1/2 from home waiting on the senders response but he's on CA time

I have had a few on the way to me from FedEx end up in exceptions in the last 4 years or so. 1 I was able to pick up and 2 returned to the sender. The 1 I picked up had a broken bottle, the 2 returned to the sender had no damaged brews, just tagged as alcohol.
