What beer are you drinking now? #2279

Yes, I know, it's not seasonal, but it is relatively fresh and happened to be on top of the stack in the fridge door . . .




Very light yellow color with a large bubbly cap that rapidly diminishes.

Aroma primarily of lemon and ginger.

Tastes like a very mild light beer that has been flavored with lemon and ginger along with some sort of sweetening agent. If that was the goal they succeeded. It actually works very well in that regard.

Light texture with balancing carbonation.

I honestly believe that those who don't like any beer at all would find this palatable.

 

Relatives are visiting, we are enjoying ourselves.
Having my breakfast coffee, then off for some sightseeing.

Morning Ba ... Not much to do around here today. Might run to the library is about it. Right now I'm going to enjoy this delicious oatmeal stout. Terrific aromas, flavors and mouthfeel. Not much more I could ask for. Cheers !

 

Last night I tried Next Coast IPA from Goose Island and Deep Space DIPA whilst bowling at Pinstripes in Lombard, IL.

 

Lunchtime. Fried eggs on toast with some leftovers and a small change the future is unwritten. Cheers!

Sitting back with a Weyerbacher Merry Monks. Mmmmmm...love this stuff.

Just got a Fed Ex box at the door. It was the SECOND 46 pound bag of dog food we've gotten in the past two days. Wifey got a good coupon and now we have 92 pounds of dog food. Jeebus only knows what's going to show up tomorrow. We have three dogs, but still....

Other Half x Equilibrium LAB Daydream

 

Day is turning out bright and sunny, furry children are cavorting in the yard, think I'll continue my Summery theme . . .




Rather turbid red brown color similar to unfiltered cherry juice sold at a Farmer's Market.

Aroma of blueberries, vanilla and spices.

Taste on entry is mildly sour sharpness quickly balanced by the blueberry, vanilla and spice. Spicy aspects remain in the background with the vanilla yet still maintain a presence. The vanilla is more of a balancing fulcrum between the sharp berry sourness and the rest. It's balanced and relatively complex with all the flavors working as a team.

Texturally it's a somewhat thin body bordering on medium.

As a sour berry spicy thing it actually works rather well. Sour but not too much, berry but not over berry and the spices balance out things nicely. I can see this being a crowd pleaser on our sunny beaches.

 

Doing home office work and poured a Taft’s Ale House Juicy Jubilee DIPA for some company...

 

Other Half Triple Cream. I’ve been staying away from 10%+ IPAs, but this is amazing, with the alcohol incredibly well hidden.
