Just trying to get some opinions and seeing what peoples favorite IPAs brewed here in Tx. Ive seen comments saying Tx cant make a good NeIPA/Hazy but Ive had alot of east coast beers and we are doing pretty damn good. Personally I like Turning Point beer and Celestial in Dallas. Hear alot about SpindleTap in Houston....plan on visiting them this weekeend. Cheers!!

Full disclosure: I'm not a haze fan. My favorite TX IPAs are Real Ale Axis (they just released an awesome DDH version as well), Community Mosaic, and Independence Stash. For haze, I've heard very good things about Spindletap, and Pinthouse Pizza makes some excellent IPAs (hazy and non) as well.

Oddwood Ales has my favorite IPAs nowadays.

Mine has to be yellow rose. I don't drink it that much, because it is my go to when I am out and about to get on tap in my part of town. But had a fresh Ghost in the Machine and made me realize that Yellow Rose is right up there with it.

Yay ghost is finally in Texas!! And the past couple of days I've been reading about yellow rose being an ipa that can stand up to the big boys. I will try this soon

Not sure if you consider Dankosauras (forgive my spelling) by Cedar Creek a hazy IPA, but I’m a fan.

I'm really not a big fan of the Brut IPA's but, PHP just released a new one in the past week called Brut Reality that was really good. Also, give a second to Oddwood. They are doing some cool/different things...check out Inanimate Household Objects.

Pinthouse IPAs are legit. Electric Jellyfish and Nomura DIPA were easily the best IPAs I had while in Austin last year.

IMHO - I think the best IPAs in the Houston area are being cranked out by Brash and Great Heights Brewing.

B52 (Conroe) and SpindleTap are great, but they're getting a little overdone. It seems like SpindleTap does a new NEIPA every month and the variations in flavor seem marginal. However, if you havent had either brewery, then they're worth checking out.

In my opinion a lot of NEIPAs don't have a TON of flavor variations. Brewers have been cranking these out (Spindletap, too, for sure. all the double IPAs are 8%) with the same base recipe and just throw in a slightly different combination of hops and they fly off the shelves as a new beer.

That's pretty much what everyone is doing isn't it?

Celestial Beerworks in Dallas is putting out some great IPAs, if you like the haze that is.

I haven't been on BA in awhile and I'm actually wondering if CB would trade. The haze craze may have completed saturated the market so I'd think $4$, but when I checked in that forum I didn't see any mention.

Anyone in our region have any experience trading it for out of TX distro? They've had growlers for a few months, but have only been canning for a month I believe...too soon?
