Excited for this next round but ....late in the last round I turned on email alerts under preferences (automatically watched check and receive email notifications of replies checked). Now we back at it and my email is getting crushed with reply notifications even though I unchecked that box. Any ideas on how to fix this? Many thanks!

 

Idk mine are hit or miss when I get notifications or not

 

I believe it's in Alert Preferences. Possibly here as well?

 

Mine looks just like yours, but I got emails for both Bill and your replies.. Gonna just unwatch for now and hope that does it. This is fucking out of hand. Thanks tho if any one else has an idea I would appreciate it.

Click on "Forums" at the top of the page, then on "watched threads". Then, if necessary, click on "show all watched threads". Click on the box next to this thread, then go to the bottom box where it says "with selected" and click on "disable email notification", then make sure you hit "GO".

If that doesn't work, instead of disabling email, try and click on "stop watching". Then I'd probably wait a few others, and go back to watching without email notifications.

 

My previous post was before I read this one -- but I suspect there are both global preferences and thread-specific -- I would guess thread-specific overrides global, but you might need both turned off.

 

So I'm gonna do this now to remove any temptation to actually do research (don't ask) -- I'm going to guess you were married for 52 months, and went to somewhere in the Caribbean for your honeymoon. And given our geographical proximity, I'd like to forward if I win, just not sure yet to whom....

 

I will guess 19 months, and that you visited Hawaii.
