    Yeah. Bottles alone they can easily charge ~200 for. For another 100 you’re getting event entry, all included beer pours, glass and bottle bag. Let’s compare that to lumberjack day for 3 sons a brewery which is charging $140 for a festival which you get one 500ml bottle and food. I may be wrong but it didn’t say anywhere pours were included. I’ll pay $300 easily no problem for this.

    I think the price is as expected, and unfortunately not high enough to drive away the mules yet. I can see people still paying for others, just to get the bottles and re-sell them. Which sucks because obviously plenty of people looking to go to the event. The real question is if this will crush the Cycle BA day crowd

    What festivals do you attend during tbbw?

    At least it requires mules to attend the ticket sale in Jan and the event in March to get bottles for someone else. If someone just picks up bottles at event and leaves without drinking that free insane taplist, they should be drawn and quartered.

    Huna and BA day, both of which I can attend for the same price as this one event all while drinking more than just Angry Chair beers. If you're an AC super fan or a reseller I'm sure you find the $300 money well spent. I'm neither of those things so I don't feel the same way and I don't really think that's an unreasonable opinion.

    No one accused you of having an unreasonable opinion.

    As a matter of fact...probably the most reasonable post you've made in this thread

    This. Also eliminates ticket sellers. I will be in town for ticket release but not in March. Having to do both eliminated me. Not that I would have sold a ticket but if I could have grabbed a ticket and then arranged to have a local person that was going down that week and split allotment I would have.

    Question about Angry Chair - and other breweries generally - regarding TBBW. I'll actually be visiting Tampa/Clearwater for a combo birthday/Spring Training trip from February 27-March 3. That Saturday, the 2nd, is when I'm planning to make my rounds at Cycle, AC, Cigar City, Garagiste, etc. I know the larger TBBW events all take place later in the week; can I expect anything - releases, special pours, whatever - on that first Saturday?

    As it turns out, there's now a TBBW that appears to be devoted to addressing these types of questions. So maybe go there to ask this question?

    FYI, AC has barrel aged barlywine bottles (The Hunted) for sale in the cooler right now. I don't think they were advertised anywhere. (Didn't see it on their Facebook )

    Damnit, I wish I knew that earlier, I need to get to Tampa to pick up my CC club bottles and I could have made the run today but didn't.

    It’s a barleywine with no listed adjuncts. It will probably last the weekend. That’s my guess anyway.

    Hey, friends. I haven’t read through this whole thread so I apologize if this has already been discussed (i’m sure it has) but understanding that there is no food at AC, what are the best places around the brewery for lunch? Style isn’t important... just looking for a good local place to hit up for some grub with my family (will have my 7 and 10 year old daughters with us) today before visiting the brewery.

    Cheers!

    My kids love bodega. Tripps diner not bad. Both are very close to AC. If you want different options, try armature works or hall on franklin.

    * Nebraska Mini Mart, FTW.
    * Bodega, as mentioned above, is bomb if you're looking for some terrific Cuban food.
    * Hall on Franklin and Armature Works both are great but likely will be packed at lunchtime on a long-weekend Sunday (which basically makes it a Saturday).
