Oh, for sure. That's why crowlers are the best part!

I know that the bruery gets flack from time to time and lots of folks have moved on to the latest shiny toy, but for my money the selection at their tasting room is one of best in So Cal. Saisons, lagers, old ales, wilds, pastry stouts, etc. Probably not the ideal spot for the IPA crowd, but every time I visit I try something that is as good or better than their better bottled releases. I recently visited a couple of higher profile tasting rooms in LA, and while the beers I drank were great for the most part, the lineups were really haze-centric and kind of one dimensional.

Cough cough, Offshoot! I seriously wish that they would put at least one West Coast IPA as a regular on the menu.

sorry for all the questions, but I got an e-mail recently and at the bottom of the email was a link to a UT "society exclusives" beers on tap. I got the reserve, but there are 3 list...

    Preservation
    Reserve
    Hoarders

Since I'm in reserve does that mean I can only order the 4 beers in the reserve section or can I also order from the preservation section as well?

You can order any beers from your society level on down, so yes you can order anything from the Preservation section but unfortunately no Hoarder level beers.

The S’mores BBLs seems really interesting. I like the idea of a s’mores beer, but a sour s’mores beer? Idk about that...

    Agreed.

The other bottle is a Fig BA Barleywine with Vanilla. And.... lemon zest.

In both cases, it's like they started with a great sounding beer, and then added something sour to it to make it....hopefully okay.

I am admittedly biased, as I prefer my sours more traditional, and my stouts/barleywines non-soured (by yeast/bacteria/citrus/whatever).

Lemon zest imparts the lemon flavor without the sour though.

This looks like a really strong batch of allocations, looking forward to the ones I haven't tried and already know I like the ones I did try

My thoughts too. I really liked the S’mores SHIT they had on tap, wish they’d just bottle that.

I think this is going to be awesome! Bruery blends their beers to perfection so i'm sure the tart of darkness will pop in just the right spots between Black Tuesday S'more notes

I agree, the other Terreux BBLs (not chocolate salty) were not particularly sour. This sounds like it could be really good... I'm thinking "Pastry ToD."

Had Citrus is Life at the brunch event. Definitely the highlight beer of both welcome weekend events, if you ask me. Thought the citrus flavor was very well balanced with the base beer, more so than the Coffee is Life, which I felt was a bit too coffee dominant. But for sure I'd definitely recommend CiL!
