Wanted to clear up some confusion about a Double Two Hearted blog post mentioned here.. Double Two Hearted is 11 percent ABV but that's not from the massive amount of hops. We updated our blog and apologize for any confusion!

Your website states for Double Two Hearted:

    “Available Packages: draft"

Can you please confirm that for 2019 this beer will also be available in bottles?

    Cheers!

Bell's already stated on social media that this would be bottled for 2019.

Their website doesn't get updated (usually) until a month or so before the release date (which according to the original poster) is in mid summer.

I have seen Bells using the mini kegs for Two Hearted and Hopslam. Wonder if they will also put double Two Hearted them.

I’ve been hoping for a beer named Half Hearted for years. This seems like the opposite of what I hoped for

Fresh regular Two-Hearted is pretty damn perfect. No need to gild the lily, but I’m sure I’ll try it if I see it.

The distributor that carries Bells for my area is saying we shouldn't expect high production numbers.

Apparently since Larry Bell hates Reyes (bought out Loveland), Bell's is the only beer not offered in central VA. BUT, I'll be more than happy to go to Charlottesville for this one!

Well the bad news is that this is from a Michigan distributor...

But maybe the silver lining is that Bell's makes and sells so much beer, that quote needs to be taken in context.

Put that in cans for the beach and pool, I want to try that.

What would be the point in not bottling/ canning? Their distro here is tremendous and it’s always fresh. Keeping it captive at the brewery would be senseless, I’m assuming of course they did a test run and a polling on the beer.

We drink very different beers from one another at the pool or beach!

Well no doubt I’m older than you, but the wiser part probably not. But I like a bit of muscle in my beer when on vacation, but it has to be a great beer too. But still moderation counts, you can’t slam big beers. Heady is my favorite beach beer and its rationed at 2 per day, fill in with lower abv stuff.

Had this on tap at their spot in kalamazoo last year I think. It was pretty nice but a bit too malty for me (a common complaint of mine with DIPAs). We brewed a doubled version of a clone recipe for two hearted once and called it 4 hearted. It also was maltier than I prefer.
