I will! I must admit that I prefer it with the sardines in Louisiana hot sauce.......adds a nice bite, with the red pepper flakes i put on too.

Yessir. Made a long awaited return trip last Saturday since we were staying in Canaan for the long weekend and Fundamental was my first beer. Excellent. Added a pretzel and then wrapped it up with a Round the Bend. Always great to be there. I've said it here and there, but SFB is a top 3 spot for me to have a beer in the region. We stayed for about 90 minutes before getting on our way to beat the weather. Busiest I've seen it get in the times I've been. Basically standing room only for the duration. Took away a case of bottles for friends, a handful of growlers to ride out the storm, and a bunch of Palatine to carry me over until the next run. Can't wait to get back.

Aroma of pine, citrus, and some sticky sap grounds with tempered spice, fruit, and bread-y tones = A beautiful stroll through the forest given way to woodsy and herbal elements with hints of lemongrass, coriander, white pepper, fennel, and a glimpse of smokiness + the dive into the remaining ounces, as it crawls to a warmer temp thru polar vortex, carries a wallop of flavor at 5% with pungent-sticky-wet-grapefruit extravagances shining through

Feel is extremely delicate given way to its intrinsically crisp, clean, and earthy expedition with opportune bitterness, malt necessities, and a dry, grainy foreground – The west coast inspiration plays a soft harmony, while Suarez’s signature touch plays an exquisite melody

    …now where’s that smoked lager

You could drive from NJ to Livingston, NY, get some beer, then drive back to NJ. Or you could spend a couple days and nights in NY's Columbia County, book an inn or B&B, visit several excellent breweries in the county, and check out historic, scenic &/or cultural spots there, as well.

This is the correct answer. It is a beautiful area with some great beer places.

Any word on that smoked lager? I'd appreciate it if someone posts here whenever that surfaces.

Mmm…only downside is the absence of that perfect, Suarez, slow pour®…

It’s only on at two places in Brooklyn right now, so I expect it to pop up in more places over time. You might have options in March if you felt like going out of your way. With access to reasonably fresh Schlenkerla in stores, it doesn’t make much sense to go really out of your way for this one, but it’s very satisfying (and refreshingly simple) and a must if you come across it. I would drink it in heavy volumes if I had easy access to it.

per instagram Kegs were sent to "beer street, torst, brouwerij lane, Cardiff giant, bar great harry, covenhoven, goldstar beer counter, a bunch more too"

...shouldn't be too hard to track down, if in the vicinity/BK

Gotta say, I haven’t gotten a beer with one of those really gorgeous heads on it while at Suarez either. I don’t know if it’s just bad luck/timing on my end or if Suarez does it more for photo ops than standard service.

Maybe my expectations are too high because I’m envisioning a head that extends over the top of the glass.

Having a couple of pints of Stands to Reason at Owl Farm right now (sneaking onto BA while my wife grabs tacos). In the words of Frank the Tank - once it hits your lips it’s sooo gooood
