    5 cups of coffee throughout the day, a coffee beer with lunch .... this just seemed destined.

    At almost a full year old, and with only 2 months of bourbon barrel aging to begin with (perhaps the shortest barrel time I've ever seen in a BBA brew), I doubted how well this would all come together. Besides, the overall premise - a BSPA - has few good parallels.

    It .... all works really well, actually. I think the bourbon is almost perfectly balanced; any more, and I think it would be too much. I think the coffee is, itself, perhaps a touch too much, but it's an immediate impact on the palate early on the sip, and quickly gives way to the yeast as the primary flavor driver throughout. I'm really digging it - it's not exactly my cup of tea, but it's definitely very well made.

    About time to start cooking dinner, so it's a good thing this is a big bottle, because I have a feeling I'll be enjoying it for quite some time tonight.

    Enjoying this Tired Hands collab with Half Acre & Troon. I sometimes wonder if I had started my beer journey in today's market, cutting my teeth on NEIPA, what would I think of the classics? It's a scary proposition to even ponder. Thankfully, my beginning was just the opposite. Cheers.

    G'day BA!

    7 beers from this Australian brewery showed up in Casper today, via Shelton Brothers. 5 are of the wild kind, hence the Wildflower name.

    This one is brewed with apricots and is a marvel. Clear packaging date on the label that every brewery ought to be able to do!!
