I'm with you, brother. I was fortunate enough to get into the IPA game when a semblance of fruitiness was coming to bear, but the brews were still bitter as fuck - and that worked for me. Love at first sip.

But if I'd come about in the age of low-IBU milkshake and NE IPAs, having never known otherwise? I don't know if I'd ever have developed the palate for a high-IBU West Coast monster, and that's a world I don't want to imagine living in. :sunglasses:

I want to transport myself back to the time I first tried Titan IPA. I think I could die happy. Cheers.

Have to admit I was expecting a darker beer. The chocolate is delicate. A tad boozy, semi
    barleywineish.

Doc, I wouldn't be surprised to find you've ticked more Jai Alais than I have on a certain social media app. And I've ticked a LOT of the brew named after my hometown's Merry Game.:stuck_out_tongue:

Great Divide has always been very limited in my markets, and as such, I've literally never had Titan.

But I'd imagine your reaction was very similar to the first time I had Alesmith IPA.

Drinking an old time classic, and really enjoying it.

Yesss! Both of those beers were around that time for me. Alesmith, Pliny, Stone, Titan, Two Hearted, etc. Maybe it was 12 years ago? I can't judge by my join date here, because I lurked for a bit prior. Those were the f*cking days!

As I always say, snow is cool until you have drive in it, or shovel it.

Having a Resilience and a burger with some homemade pickled jalapeno slices. Couldn't let the jalapenos get lonely so I had to throw some Thai chilies in with them.

Driving wasn't bad once I shifted to AWD and never looked back. If the snow wasn't higher than my bumper, I just stopped shoveling. Which ..... was embarrassing when people would skid out in my driveway just because I was too lazy to shovel, and just kept driving over it. :flushed:

But man, the beer pics in snow? Hard to top those!

This fresh fridge staple is serving as a palate scrubber for the next round. A solid beer at a reasonable price.

Numero dos, and maybe my last for this Tuesday as I have dinner duty: some baked salmon and greens, and some chocolate puddin' - hard life. Cheers, with another of these OB Death by Coco-(choco)nut.
