I wasn't really planning on opening this today, but fuck it, there goes my last KBS. Label states best by 11/2017, I wonder what vintage this is... Still tastes great though, with surprisingly strong coffee notes and a somewhat more subtle bourbon note.

Seriously considering ordering a whole bunch of 2018 CBS at 6€ for a 12oz bottle, great deal, really. I think this website seriously overestimated demand after everybody already got their ticks on 2017 CBS and now they can't get rid of it... Used to be 9€...

Duane, Jimi, Stevie Ray ... they would have all evolved to some interesting places. I love the Allmans but I never felt that Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks had the same soul and taste that Duane had. His solo on Dreams is so freaking melodic and tasty, probably my favorite solo by Duane. Grabs your attention right from the beginning.

But you gotta admit, you get the urge to kick the shit out of him. Just jealousy. Sun and pool versus snow and shoveling. All my nonsense aside, met up with him. An awesome dude.

Ran across this recently and, remembering both that I was out and that I freaking loved it, immediately added it to my tally.

Not my favorite from Triple Crossing. Maybe because it is a pilsner. Rather drink it than a Bud. I think Triple Crossing is releasing a different pilsner on Friday. Not sure if I am gonna buy it. The glassware they used though is something.

Here is hoping that the next few winter days treats you kindly.

My opinion is Derek trucks is great in his own right, Duane was on a level a bit higher. Just died too younger to have a bigger sample.

The only bad thing about this beer is that my wife likes it more than I do. Every time I go to get one, we’re out.

It is a solid pilsner, would be much better on a hot summer day. Knowing your tastes I would not recommend picking up another pilsner.

As long as there is not a lot of snow I'm ok with the cold.

A KC classic! @JeremyDanner is chatting about BJCP Saison guidelines and Tank 7, so I had to pour myself one with a little smoked gouda (oops, tapped into the gouda early! @FBarber )

Agreed, although I don't think Trucks has the versatility that Duane had. Amazing slide player though. Sonny Landreth is another mofo slide player.

After spending most of my afternoon hydrating with ice water, it's time for some Odd13 'Quadruped' while Rocket the Wonder Dog enjoys a carrot kong...

Overcast and 68’ here in North OC. We have many days of rain to look forward to come Thursday. Pretty good beer here, BA’s. Moonraker Citra Double glowing like Yasmin Bleeth in the 90’s:

First heard of and saw Sonny Landreth at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest in the early '90s. I've always liked his playing. And Duane and Derek, well, thank god for them, too...

Alan "Blind Owl " Wilson is another. No doubt he's part of the music, especially beginning at 2:09 in this live version.
