Pliny the Younger 2019 - Windsor

    At the brewpub now. Would guess there's a bit under 100 people in line. Line is moving, but not too quickly.

    Natalie has been chatting up and greeting the folks in line. Very classy.

    20 back in line now. It's moving along faster than I would have imagined. Also, tasting room is open, and you can drop in while you wait and have some bp and/or elder. Just have to make sure you have someone to hold your spot in line.

    After trying both versions I can honestly say you can taste the difference. Windsor's was very muted in comparison to the pubs. Santa Rosa's was super similar to years previous and an excellent beer. If I had tried the Windsor only version I'm not sure if I could see the hype on this beer.

    Interesting. I wonder how the kegs to the City are tasting. I'm going to actually try to get a pour of it this year after missing it last year.

    For those who’s never been, the og pub is the way to go. If you fly into STS it’s only a 10 minute Uber/Lyft ride. It’s Windsor for me.

    At most it's probably an extra 10 minutes driving time, and there's ample free parking at the Windsor location. So after hunting down parking in Santa Rosa and then walking over, it's probably a complete wash time wise.

    I thinks folks are just accustomed to heading over to the SR location for younger day, or maybe they just enjoy the more intimate experience offered at the original site. Or maybe they just really, really love the pizza at the SR site (no pizza on the menu at Windsor).

    That being said... The wife and I had a really enjoyable visit on Friday, and if future wait times continue to be in the 35 - 40 minute range, we just might make this part of the regular rotation each February.

    I've yet to go to Windsor, even before this month. IF if (if) I do head up from SF for Pliny, however, tradition dictates going OG, wait and all.

    how long will they have this on draft? Never made it for the younger but I've heard its available for a longer window these days so it might be doable this year.

    Windsor location is hugeeeeeeee.... did the beer tour there then grabbed PtY at the OG spot. Still bottles of Beat too
