I know it's cold, but I can't believe we just got here and are first in line.

Spoilers: thee Anny beer was great. Didn’t stray to the variants but the DNEIPA was very crushable. Congrats to the crew on another great event. Thanks guys.

Good event. No bottle shares is an upgrade. 21 is great. Cherry vanilla 21 was fantastic. Rum cherry 21 was very rum and kinda off balance.

    We won the Ardea raffle.

    Cheers!

I like that the 2 variants were different. Rum was much more balanced than last years run porter. The cherry vanilla was great. That's how you do variants. Skip doing what everyone else does and try something a little different.

Also did side by side last years Black Gold vs 21. 21 is thicker and much more fudgy. Very suprised an anniversary beer was better than Black Gold.

Drafts seemed much more well run / efficient than last year, overall was a great time. Really liked the iced barleywine, and was pleasantly surprised by the Zin & Juice.

Preferred the base 21 to either of the variants, vanilla/cherry was nice though.

Best run CW Party I can remember. Showed up at 3:30 hoping that the line to get in would be short but even better it was pretty much non-existent. Got pours of regular 21, both variants, and the iced barleywine all in less time than it took me to move 5 feet in that "line" last year for taps.

Pretty much exactly my experience as you described.
I can't believe the no bottle sharing made that much of a difference between this year and last. Did the cold weather keep people from coming and a smaller crowd improve things? Was there more staff serving beer? Whatever it was worked. Well done Central Waters!

This thread is dead after the Anniversary party. I suspect that's a good thing, nobody has any reason to complain, and people who enjoyed the event are less likely to talk about it. I also had a great experience. Granted I wasn't there for very long, but everything was well run, I had no problem getting pours of anything. No lines. No puking drunks stumbling all over. Kudos to CW!

They really recovered this year in my eyes. I have no complaints whatsoever, and though I didn't stay long, I had a good time while I was there. Shorter lines, more space, and finally being able to use two tickets for the pricier pours, plus getting rid of the scourge that is bottle sharing made it a big win in my book.

I also enjoyed Zin and Juice much more than the draft-only (at the time) offerings of Vanilla and Rum Barrel Coconut last year (both of which I hated).

You liked a beer that involved wine or wine barrels? I'm shocked :stuck_out_tongue:.

My one regret from the party is forgetting to go and get a pour of Zin & Juice. I planned on it but got distracted by everything else apparently.

I'd love to swing by to replace the 9 fallen soldiers my group lost but I'm not interested in finding more black ice the hard way.
