Resilience. I've had the smoker going since 10. Finished up about 6 pounds of wings which I plan on finishing up in a deep fryer and slathering in Buffalo sauce. Rack of ribs and sausage going now. Cheers!

Incredible as usual this year. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, medium-full bodied, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Amazing classic Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balanced malt backbone. Not overly sweet or bitter, extremely well balanced. Lightly boozy alcohol, but dangerously easy drinking. Never disappoints. Feels less sweet than last year. Got another pack yesterday, it is super easy to find this year.

I guess this is what they call pre-gaming? A delicious way to do it anyway... Huge fan of the NE style here and elated that it is being produced so well in Michigan. Don’t hate me cause of the second picture but GO PATS! :stuck_out_tongue:

As you guys celebrate this unofficial American holiday called Super Bowl Sunday, don't use up all your revelry for the month - save some for February 23rd:

WBAYDN with a twist, if you choose to join in the theme: show us the flagship(s) you are drinking while listening to music played from a needle dragging across vinyl. More flagships and more records mean more fun. Can you drink only flagships?

Now, back to your pre-game activities!!
    ---
Not sure if this counts as a flagship - it's easily recognizable and also happens to be the most reviewed beer from this brewery on this site, but it's not brewed year-round. Either way, it's in my glass now:

Fine brownish-orange body, great clarity; thin yet creamy and lasting head; huge sheets of clinging foam inside the glass. Excellent charred and toasted grain aroma; caramel with a trace of orange; brown sugar. Deep caramel and and nougat flavor; some boozy notes deep within the heavy sweetness. Heavy body; velvety and warm; lots of residual sugar heft.

A big, powerful beer, very malt forward with a warm, sweet bread-like presence, and delivering just the right touch of bourbon heat and flavor for balance.
