Cracked open a Space Trace last night for super bowl, I'd say drink them now if you still got em. Coconut has fallen off completely, brew was still tasting good just missing the coconut.

I never got coconut when I had it fresh, so that doesn’t surprise me.

 

Same. I wonder what they changed between 2016 Space Trace and 2018 Space Trace. 2016 still tastes great, 2018 lacked coconut from the start.

 

Oddly, Space Trace 2018 got better a few months in (though still a bit less coconut than I'd think). I have one left, so I should crack that to see what's going on.

 

Had a Space Trace & a However Improbable yesterday. Thought they both had a good amount of coconut. Space Trace was fudgy/coconut & However Improbable was more vanilla/coconut. My bottle of Space Trace had coconut floaties & However Improbable did not.

 

The coconut in Space Trace is still there, just not as expected. For me, it was similar to coconut oil.

 

I'm probably too harsh on ST18 because ST16 is my favorite Stasis beer. I'll probably open my last 16 with my last 18, or possibly wait to see if they release it again this year and do a 3 year vert.

LOL, maybe they should talk to the guys from 3 Chiefs to learn how to brew a "real" coconut stout.

 

Heard there's a collab in the horizon.

 

I wonder if we're going to see the Mikkeller collab released next month, since it was 'previewed' last march.

 

The last two WOL have had some type of FO variant released with pickups being during WOL. 2 years ago was Forces, last year was RFI, so I could see the FO/Beer Geek being released around WOL.

 

Same here Xul, you will notice more wine like flavors, well a bit of a red wine taste from what the missus had mentioned to me. I too, got similar results

 

Any clues on when the Jam the Radar sale is going live?

I'm guessing not this weekend, since we have not heard the date yet.

Thanks for this. Stopped by tonight and grabbed the last Lost Colony, they still had 4 site & mind and a bunch of red rover. Was able to get 2 DN and a FO and a place in LA and stopped by Bottle Logic to pick up Layers - so all set.

 

Instant unavailable status, pretty amazing the demand for this beer.
