I’m not there but I heard he was taken away in an ambulance. It sounded like a pretty ugly displaced fracture.

Lots of people crying on social media like side project forced them to go out in the ice. Pretty comical

Plenty of blame to go around. I think Cory made a poor decision to announce yesterday given the forecast. Others made the poor decision to show up.

Will this beer last throughout the day or has it already sold out?

This is a non-mandatory release. Putting any blame on Side Project is beyond ridiculous.

You don't think SP should have any concern for their customers? Particularly ones who are probably among their most loyal and diehard fans?

@coryking curious if you'd be willing to put your 2 cents in on the situation with the BA Coco Vibes release.

The roads got better quickly, so I went.

I retract my previous statement. Good release.

You know if this sold out yet? Or how many bottles there were?

The roads were not bad at 10am. If you risked the dangers of traveling earlier that's on you. If I jumped on the road and starting having issues I'd turn around and go home. I don't think the roads were the issue. It was the slippery untreated sidewalks. Just have proper footwear and be cautious. Accidents happen don't think it's necessary to point blame.

Maybe it was on purpose given the forecast. Cory knows the hype machine and by announcing release with poor conditions, maybe he was hopeful much of the release would remain in loyal, local hands instead of having max profitz hounds coming in from hours away.

Pretty sure the "max profitz hounds" showed up regardless of the distance.
    Just look at MBC

Understood. I was just saying that poor conditions potentially discourage some from coming.

What percentage of their profit is actually driven by hyper local consumers?

I know multiple people that live near SP and it's next to impossible to get them to go there for any reason, but especially for a special release like this. Don't think the "locals" are the primary driving force behind the success of this business. But it also depends on what your definition of "locals" is, and if you can really determine the intent behind everyone's visit.

just because you are coming from out of town doesn’t automatically make you a “max profitz hound” (whatever the hell that is) does it? like locals are immune to selling?

i come from about 3 hours away and i don’t sell. i hardly trade any of the more limited releases.

Not automatically, no. But you can't deny they exist more now than ever.

Besides the "1 of/never going to get a bottle", SP trade value is pretty much non-existent anymore.
